It wasn't stated, only the grid. I asked about the payouts and he just told me done by halves then said $25 for the first and $75 for the second. He may have said final, I don't remember but it just didn't occur to me as I was in a hurry marking my squares.

Anyway I'll be an ass if I say anything since the guy that won had the square bought for him since he was out of work (just returned today) for heart surgery. But it sux because I got in on their board and I'm not in that department, an outsider sort of. But they make the big bucks. Engineering department. I'm just a peon. I'm sure he can use the $ since he's been out for about a month but I know he also makes a lot more than we do too.

I never win on any of these things and the one time I would've this happens.

We still have Matt Ryan. He'll regress. We'll still never win with him. Losing the OC. That can't help....even though he helped lose the game...

The defense itself wasn't the problem. It was that soft zone they started playing and giving the WR 10 yards of cushion off the line so they could run a 5 yard crossing pattern the whole 4th quarter.

I hate coaches who back off after a big lead. You play to win the game. This isn't pee wee football.
Run the freaking score up and win the game. I hate seeing teams with big leads in big games lose in
the 3rd and 4th quarter because their damn coaches play prevent defense and call conservative plays on
offense. Damn Falcons should have won last night. :annoyed:

Not sure that there's a "standard" way really. I have seen both but the ones I partake in always have the payouts written.

The D did well but 28th ranked in the league isn't gonna help. Plus they got flagged 3 bad times on one drive alone.

Looked more to me that, and understand that I'm a Patriot Hater, that Bill did a fantastic job (just threw up a little in my mouth) in adjusting to Atlanta in the second quarter, and then...

    :puke:

    Tom Brady showed up.

The Falcons came out on defense playing soft prevent coverage letting the Patriots get 10 and 15 yard
pass dump downs. Crazy cause you give the Patriots two plays to make a 1st down. Doesn't take long
to march down the field when the defense is playing soft. Not too mention the Falcons stopped blitzing
their linebackers giving Brady all day long to check down. Granted the players are on the field have to make
plays. But in today's game the players are so locked into what coverages the coaches call they have no ability
to adjust on the fly like in the old days. The Seahawks and the Falcons handed the last two Super Bowls to the
    Patriots.

Agreed, and I'm a Hawks fan. Gave it up, let it up, whatever. Pats had the room at the end. But they took it. Great team.

If you look at the highlights, the Falcons were blitzing hard and fast for the first few quarters of the game, but they were gassed by Q4 and they couldn't get there with enough speed to actually put pressure on him. They'd burned through their tanks during the first part of the game. It wasn't that they gave up or let up; they were just too tired to keep it up. And if you can't keep pressure on Tom Brady....
    Well, you know.

yeah a couple pats lineman talked about the falcons D and how they could tell they were gassed. I didnt know much about the falcons D heading into the game, only that they werent that good, or at least ratings wise throughout the league. The fact that they looked great probably means they were running on adrenaline for the first half, and just gassed out. 93 to 46 offensive plays, the defense had nothing left.

They played dumb football in the 2nd half, period. Bad coaching, really. And failed to capitalize on any gains due to bad decisions. I know they got themselves to the superbowl by throwing the ball all over the field but when you have a 3rd and 1 you run the ball you dopes. Or let the QB sneak it. You don't throw wide into double coverage under severe pressure. Also you don't challenge a play that was so obvious that my 5 year old nephew said instantly it was a waste of a time out. Maybe it's just me but I feel it was dumb decisions by the coaching staff that killed them.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I'm thinking it's going to be a time will tell sort of thing. I imagine the first season might be a slight improvement.

Nowhere to go but up. Shanahan will be fine. I'm sure he learned a lot this year. Lynch seems pretty savy. I like the moves.

That's pretty much the way I feel. Shanahan Jr. has to share in Atlanta's loss, but I'm hoping it was a valuable lesson learned. I think he has a pretty good football brain. Lynch isn't a dummy either. I hope they can work together without job definitions or ego's getting in the way. Kelly was a big time bust. Even if they gave him a few more seasons, I doubt they would have done much. New coaches, new approaches. Now, just get rid of retro afro protest guy!
