One day I was driving down the road in a residential area and I heard a very loud and abrupt THUD. The speed limit was 25mph so I'm estimating I was traveling at approximately 30-32mph. I usually try to stay within 5-7mph of the posted speed limit. I decided to continue to my destination which was about 3/4 mile away instead of pulling over to figure out what the noise might have been. It was night time and I didn't have a flashlight in the vehicle with me at the time so I figured I wouldn't be able to see anything anyways. By the time I got to my destination I had already lost my concern for what had happened on my trip. I believe it was a Saturday night(possibly Friday)so I had other things on my mind. The following morning after I had brushed my teeth and showered I remembered what had happened the night before and decided to investigate farther. I inspected the obvious areas and all of the body to see if I had some sort of dent or animal carcus imbedded someplace. I could not locate anything. After crawling around underneath the truck I quickly located a section of the frame where a body mount attached that appeared to have recent damage. The mount was folded over 3/4" or maybe closer to a full inch with a large gouge in the undercoating paint. I must have hit something large and heavy to have done this amount of damage at such a low speed. To this day I have no idea what I hit or what I could have hit. :notsure:

Back in 2015 while walking my boss's dog, I came across a 1986 K5 Blazer Silverado with Jersey plates parked in the driveway of a million-dollar home on Ashland Street in Doylestown Borough. By Borough standards, as in right in town and on the outskirts, Ashland Street is the equivalent of 5th Avenue in NYC. Anyway, this K5 had a for sale sign in the window and the owner of the Blazer was doing landscaping work for whoever owned the house. We got to talking and he let me take a closer look at the Blazer as well as take pictures. Get this:

Onyx black with gray cloth interior
    Silverado trim
5.0L/305cid V8, 4-speed manual with granny low, factory posi
    A/C
    Cruise control
    Tilt wheel
    Intermittent wipers
    AM/FM cassette
Every option except power windows and locks

The Blazer was a bit rusty and the A/C needed a charge, but it was roadworthy and very restorable. One of only TWO fully loaded factory stick shift K5s newer than 1985 that I've ever seen. Pictures are on my other laptop and I'm using my Mac right now so I'll post pictures tomorrow or Wednesday. Anybody who knows K5s will know just how rare a 4-speed model is, especially with options like A/C, cruise, and tilt; Even many fully loaded Blazers with the Silverado trim left the factory without a posi rear!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
After the pics maybe ask if they would like a ride so they can feel what it's like to roll out like a G, first hand

I do recall seeing a few of those Expiration Tags in the past but they phased them out pretty quickly, I think the first cars with Airbags were Full Size GM Cars in the mid 70's, no idea if they would still work today.

Those were expensive and almost never ordered. In my opinion, any car or truck is perfectly safe if you drive safely, if the vehicle has lap and shoulder belts, and if said seatbelts are used by the driver and all passengers. My parents' first vehicle with any airbags was a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder.

My Mustang is a 92 and has Airbags, I have had to change the little ECU box for it twice, just snagged from the Junkyard.

Fox body Mustangs only had a driver's airbag I thought. My Grandpa's 1993 Lincoln Continental had dual airbags. I read in a book about cars that the style of Continental came out in 1987 as 1988 models. A driver's airbag was standard, but many left the factory without a passenger airbag due a supply shortage? Any Ford/Lincoln/Mercury experts feel free to correct me...
