I go to the parts center over there sometimes, it's on my way home from work.
I was secretly hoping for parts hook-ups, everyone has ulterior motives. XD

Welcome Julie. That's numerous great guys in the Nashville area on here. Feel free to ask questions and learn all you can. Or possibly teach us something. We don't know everything, yet. :D

Thanks dude, I've done one write up on here so far about how I installed my DRLs and switchback fog lights/turn signals.
Figured I'd branch out here and get local advice about the area, I've lived here for about 3 years but I still get some work done back in Alabama, lol

    Here's my truck currently.
Getting some dents and dings fixed either this weekend or next, as well as the fabtech 5 lug spindle lift with AALs, because I miss my PreRunner (RIP)

Why that lift specifically? Without sounding like a dick, how much do you know about suspension?

Because my truck is a 5 lug and the only other option is spending over $3000 on a long travel kit.
I can do the rear by myself easily, I'm too nervous to attempt the front though. A friend of the family will be doing the work, I trust his abilites more than mine.
Got it for $100 (yes, $100) from a pest control business in AL that got rid of stuff from their old fleet. How could I not?

Totally slipped my mind you have a 1st gen. I was about to point you in the direction of coilovers and a leaf pack but I have no clue what they make for 1st Gen 5 lugs. Haha sorry bout that. Have you looked for a full leaf pack? I could probably find one ...

I debated on shackles vs AAL for awhile, but I decided on the AAL, I really don't need to spend any more money for right now...lol.
If I decide I'm not crazy about the AAL down the line I'll definitely hit you up.
My truck has the weirdest suspension...I could spend forever (and tons of money) fabricating parts (TC makes a long travel kit for my truck to accept coil overs, it's about $2500...and doesn't include the coilovers), or just go with the Fabtech spindle/AAL kit I got for around $500 that will take a single day to install...a bunch of 1st gen 5 lug guys have it and love it.
I COULD do every bit of it myself, but it's my daily driver and I work 2 jobs and go to school. I'd rather pay a guy (or two) at a shop to do it instead of me trying to squeeze this project into one afternoon.
I didn't know how limited my 5 lugger was when I bought it...BUT, it did only have 93k miles and an immaculate interior.
For the price they were asking, I practically stole it.
