Amazon scammer?

I respond based on what you write here. So, that's all I have to go by.

 

Why all the eBay hate in here? Their buyer protection is just as strong if not stronger than Amazons. In either case its hard to get screwed as a buyer unless you neglect to properly inspect what exactly you are agreeing to buy.

I remember the first time I had MY first beer (and got angry on the internet)

 

It happens. Ordered a used part for my dodge diesel on January 21st and nothing. Seller had 2000+ sales and lime 98% feedback. Have attempted to contact them 3 times and opened a claim with eBay. I have to wait until tomorrow before they'll get involved. I'm just pissed as I need the part and don't want to order another until this is resolved just in case this one happens to show up. Only a 36.00 part so not a huge deal but I work hard for every penny I have. I already negative feedbacked his ass so that made me feel a little better anyway. I'll get eBay on it tomorrow.

 

I hope you get it resolved. Just sucks it's something you need vs. something you want.

 

Thanks a lot! Generally good luck with both eBay and Amazon. I'm sure eBay will back it. I just hate wasting all this time and being a cheap ass just need resolution before buying another one.

Was a risky gamble but isn't there a saying about risk and reward? If I had your money and faith in Amazon I would have rolled the dice too.

 

Sometimes you can get some sweet deals on Amazon. I've gambled on the "open box" under their "amazonwarehouse" ID a few times. Also scored some Baja squadrons @ $67

 

Same here. Took a change awhile back on a sketchy seller and ended up getting a brand new arb bumper for 330 bucks shipped.

 

OP, they wouldn't ship it out because there was a pricing error and didn't want to take the loss.

awhile back I ordered some Cobra two way radios - like 70 mile range.

They were normally prices at $99 and one day the had "one pair" left at $49...

So I purchased it.

Same as OP - they started a tracking and that is it..

One month went by and I contacted the seller and Amazon.

The seller said - "we are out of stock, but we can issue you a refund or you can wait 2 months"

I said ill wait.

2 months later, same hadn't shipped, even though it showed as "in stock" at the higher price.

I emailed the vendor, showed him a screen shot that he had them stock and he ignored me.

Apparently the price was an error and he didn't want to take the loss.

So I sent a few emails.. back and forth with amazon and another month later - I got my radios.

I waited 3 months.

I got my damn radios.

 

They're just hoping that if they don't ship, you will cancel the order and they don't have take a loss.

 

You must not use Amazon. There's literally no risk. Ever.

Don't use a debit card on Amazon.

 

There is always a risk on an online website/webstore. Regardless how good their refund policy and/or customer service is, your money is tied up until they refund/reach a decision. Better safe than sorry (use a CC for further protection). You must not know how payment transactions work.

Who is the original vendor? I've seen no info on that Amazon shop...

 

I did in fact get 16x 8 Method Standards on Amazon (sold by Amazon) for 95 dollars a piece about 6 months ago. Not every deal is a scam.
