What's leaking in the first picture?

It's hard to say. I had some minor damage to my 2014 which ended up being about 2k in damage. My vote is for probably totaled.

I hope my truck never gets totaled, I wouldn't know what to get. I don't want a 3rd Gen and I don't need a full size. I'd probably just get a Hyuandai Sonata and call it a day

Not computing on my end. (Me, not you.)

Why are you still driving it if it's totalled... and still paying for it? Isn't the insurance going to pay for it under comprehensive coverage?

Because it's still drivable, so I'm not needing a rental car, and because they haven't processed a payout offer yet. They'll be calling tomorrow, so I'll be selling it back to them by the end of the week.

That's what I did with my 96 Ford F-350,and looked like, this Tacoma,Also you will get cash from your insurance as it only cost's a little too keep the truck like $1000,the rest the insurance will pay,and that's what you use too repair the Tacoma with.

    That would be radiator fluid.

You just have to see what they find. I had a wreck in an Audi Wagon I had. Looked even more minor than that but the impact pushed back the radiator mount all the way to the engine, car wouldn't start right away, some pulley's and a few other areas along with the bumpers, hood, fenders etc. They totaled it. From the look of it I did not think it would have been totaled. If you just need a new hood and bumpers, supports etc you may be okay but only they will tell.

Its totaled, because of the year of the truck for sure.Insurance companies use the Nada book for value too see what the truck is worth vs repair cost, which I swear is half what the value Kelly Blue Book say's.

The insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow, so I'll know more then. I'll keep the thread updated. I'm still pulling for repair of the truck, but I'm not confident. I feel 50/50.

Dude, you might make out like a bandit here. The insurance might give you the option of taking a significant portion of the check, withhold the scrap value essentially, and let you keep the truck. If so you have a mechanically almost brand new beater on your hands. Hammer the roof out from the inside as best as possible (maybe unhook the battery first), if the paint cracks or anything just hit it with some bed liner. Then you run it with liability only (you would have to) and just run it till it dies, which could be 15-20 years. That would be epic.

    Reserected from the dead.

I was thinking the same. Only i'd use that hi-lift jack to punch that roof back into shape. Take the seats out, get a chunk of 2 x 4 and start poking it back to normal.

In addition, if you opt to do a "buy back", in most cases the truck does not get branded with a salvage title, since it never left your possession.

As an auto estimator for an insurance company I'm going to tell you that in my opinion based on the photos I have seen in this thread that the vehicle is going to a total loss. I'm still curious as to what the estimate is going to look like.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm preparing myself for that, even though I just want my baby back together. I'll keep the thread updated.
