So the glass company came out and replaced my broken windshield today. It looks like there is an awful big gap between the top of the windshield and the cab. Also, the rubber piece that runs the length of the cab covering the roof seam came undone while my wife was driving home.
Im wondering if anyone could quick take a pic of the top of their windshield and where the seam rubber meats the windshield and post it so I can compare.
    Thx.

And the real killer. The dude scratched the A pillar on both sides.
Im not a happy camper right now. Im hoping Safelite makes this right.

They replaced one in my last truck, 3 times, still leaked when I traded it in.

I wish you luck with them.

I had a bad experience with a Glass Place that changed my windshield in my old 2000 Tacoma that was an Insurance Job, I called my Insurance Agent and then they sent a nice guy out to my house with the correct pieces and glass and did it right.

You're welcome. Hopefully you get things sorted out with safelite. Let me know if you need more detailed pics in daylight.

You got it! I figured a white truck is easier to see the seal/ gap. Even though it's a night time shot.

ya it showed up real good. the gap i have is so large the piece of rubber you see standing up at the top of the windshield is lying flat at the bottom of the frame and it is also to small side to side. Drivers side is flush, passenger side has a large gap between rubber and A pillar.
Both A pillars have scratches about 1/2 inch long deep enough you can catch your fingernail in, and the top of the passenger A pillar is scratched on the inside edge at the top about 6 inches long. looks real good (not). Probably wouldn't be noticeable on a white truck, but it really pops on Magnetic Grey.

Man, sorry to hear. I think they're supposed to use spacer shims to locate the glass properly and keep it taped down till the adhesive sets. Not sure what the process is on this truck though. Uneven gaps just tell me the glass wasn't set properly.

I have a huge crack as well, and I haven't had the windshield replaced cause I'm worried they'll mess it up. I do need to find someone I trust soon...

    Ugh, this sucks.

Luckily, safelite sent a competent individual for my replacement. No issues whatsoever.

All depends on the tech. I have seen safelites work a lot and it's always good.

Looks like they didn't have the OEM Moulding so they probably used something generic

That was what happened on my old 2000, they put some strange molding around the window that stuck out a mile and then tried to tape it down.
