I have done the ball joint flip in the front, but unlike you i did it all with factory components and new bolts and spacers for the upper ball joint and i am running at 15" from hub center to fender and since i only used 3" blocks in the rear i have 16" in the rear.

I am sitting here to figure out why you have 16" in the front and i can only figure out 2 reasons.

The first, and most likely answer, is that when you replaced the front springs you replaced it with a spring for a V6 and if you have a 4 cylinder, the vehicle weight difference would increase your height by about an inch because your truck is lighter.

The second is reason could be that when throwing everything back together after the spring replacement you put the upper ball joint on the bottom of the upper control arm instead of on top. Now i have to say i don't know if this is even possible with the control arms because i have never seen the underside of them but i wanted to throw it out there.

Aster79 you hit the nail right on the head they sent me the wrong springs they are for an extended cab,4wd or a truck with a v6. Now once i get the right springs in am i going to have issues with bottoming out or tire rub? hey i was wondering if you would be intrested in becoming friends on facebook

Tires are 205/75/15 but i can buy new rims and tires, just wanting to figure out suspesion first. Problem is i bought a 04 tacoma with new moter for $600 decided to lower it not taking into consideration that the moter might be new but everthing else has 296,000 miles on it

Well that your size is 27" tall and everything I have read says that the max height with your drop should be 25" so that could be the root of all your problems.

how come no one lowers GEN 1 4 door Prerunners?

I see some Gen 2 4 Door Prerunners around LA running around lowered. Is Gen 2 easier to lower than gen 1?

Djm 3/4 lowering kit. On some arw.15x8s. Everything else is stock
Question for everyone. I brought a 3/4 djm lowering kit and installed the blocks and the lower arms. I have 8 bolts left the back lowered and the front didn't. What do I do with the 8 bolts
