One quick question, do you know the total height of it from the truck bed rail? Wife and I are wanting one and i really want to piss her off by being able to park under her carport, which i can't do with the rtt.

It's about the same size as a shell and RTT. It's 32" from the bed rail and if you get a fan like I did it's another 6" on top of that.

I'm working on the price. @Overlanerd and I went yesterday to talk to the upholstery guy to get that final pricing. Once that gets wrapped up we should be good to go!

Right on! Imagine campers would have to be picked up in Central/Northern CA?

I think they ship! But having a forklift for install definitely helps.

Wow, this looks amazing. And I'm local, here in NorCal. Been looking for a used Flippac and considering a new habitat but this may look like it's the way to go.

I'm guessing they'll be able to make this design for the short bed Taco also?

As long as they make them for short bed and the price isn't out of control i think I'll be in. Love the design and the idea behind it. Patiently awaiting new details!

A short bed model should be available. The top area will be the same except the bed area section will be smaller.

How long is the sleeping area now? You have any pictures of how the platform works for sleeping?

I working on the second half of the sleeping portion right now. The cab over is 42" and I will be adding a 36" extension for a total of 78" x 54" sleeping area. I'll get a pic later of how things are now.

Sure there is a way to mount a rack system to the top. Do you think the struts could support added weight and leave cargo on top? Ie: surfboards or cargo box?

I'm having them mount L-track to the roof of mine. Roof rack will attach to that. With the heavier struts Iggy had on originally, seems like it would be no problem handling that weight. With 2 people, it takes about 2-3 minutes to change the struts. I may go with a heavier strut for winter to accommodate snow loads and my Thule box. May keep them on in summer for the canoe.

Perfect. Knew there had to be a way to mount a rack. Just would be convenient to not have to take boards off while sleeping

I love the build and can't wait to find out the details on the camper! I'd like to be able to keep my tailgate however.
