I'm guessing a couple months maybe...
I need to surf & get back into the gym! :annoyed:
I'm trying to stay active by hiking and doing what I can though. Actually, when I was running up at the preserve at BTN, I saw this guy who was paragliding right above me. He ended up landing a few yards from me and so I walked over and started talking with him. I inquired about the sport...how long it takes to learn, how much the equipment costs, etc. He told me a good setup would run about 6K & there is a good school that trains you how to do it here in SB. I think I may give it a go after my shoulder heals up. Looks pretty fun!
Hope you score some amazing rides this morning!

The Santa Ynez river is proper flowing! Consistent overflow from Gibraltar has filled the SY from bank to bank in many places back along paradise road, so cool to see that! Gate is still closed, but a short hike back along the road is well worth it.

I'm a bit late to this convo but by any chance do you remember the guy's name? The one paragliding.

When my mom came to visit I took her out to watch the sunset over the ocean and we met a guy, his name is Tate Low and he's from Canada, that was paragliding. We ran into each other just as he was finishing up.

He was a pretty cool dude. He spoke Spanish as well, it was awesome.

    I just saw this!

That would be a much cheaper alternative, but come one, the RTT does look waaaay cooler!

Seriously though, at the moment we're just paying off some debt.
That and with the baby coming soon she'll be taking maternity leave.
I'm seriously considering getting a second job for a few months at least.

Does anybody need a hand with anything in the Ventura area? Just pay me and I'll help! :p

We never exchanged names but, the guy I met was from Colorado. He comes out to SB 2 to 3 times a year to paraglide he says. This is the school he recommended: http://www.flyaboveall.com

Uber? I've done it before. You can make decent weekend cash even in a Taco doublecab.
