We ran elephant hill when I came out to Moab before the FJ Summit and loved the trail, especially the place where you had back down. Devil's Kitchen was a great place to camp or at least have lunch. We even went to see where the convergence of the Green and Colorado Rivers.

Thanks for the all of the wonderful photos and trip report @Box Rocket !
I'm planning a backpacking trip here in April with some buddies and am really looking forward to it.
Are there any specific BLM areas nearby where we can just pullover and camp with the RTT that you would recommend?
    Thanks again!

If you're on public land, you can pull off and camp almost anywhere. If you're in Canyonlands, you may need a permit depending on where you are. But it's so beautiful everywhere in the area you can't really go wrong.

This is true on Forest Service or BLM land, you can camp anywhere it's not specifically prohibited. The official term is "dispersed area use". I don't know about park service land, they have lots more regulations.
