We use to do this a long time ago with another club. We called them wrench-A-thon. Basically a group of Toyota enthusiast get together and wrench on 1-2 maybe three trucks. We use to do it in peoples drive ways.

We are toying with the idea of doing this at our shop. Now this wouldn't be a "DeMello installs my stage 6 I bought from his competitor party" :) More of guys that have their own tools and kinda know how to do it but wouldn't mind others to help.

We could fit about 3-4 trucks in our shop at once and what we would be there for is to "help/guide" on the install. We could also fit some outside as well if they didn't need air or the cover of the shop. So say you have a suspension kit and you want to install it but would like someone who's done a few to watch over your shoulder give a helping hand. Help educate you on what you are doing and what to watch out for. Check your work when you are done.

It could also be as simple as wiring up lights. You don't even have to know how to do the work, we could help walk you through it.

The point would be to get people familiar with their trucks and knowledgeable about the workings of it. We would have to agree on a date (Saturday) and limit the number of people doing work. We would invite our friends in the industry so they could come by and participate as well. We would need to reserve spots ahead of time but others would be welcome to show up and lend and hand or enjoy some DeMello Carne.

We would also BBQ some of our famous Carne...

Let me know if you guys would be interested.

This sounds like fun. I know how to wire things up decently but I'm sure there are a few tips, tricks, and best practices I could learn from some more experienced guys. I need to finish up the mounting and wiring of all my roof electronics and my triple-battery setup..

Jason, maybe I could also chat you up about doing a custom rear bumper (swing-outs, high-clearance) on my Tundra and take some measurements. :)

Sure could. We aren't doing any custom products right now but we could talk about it.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Following this. I've got some electrical mods coming and am always up to help guys out who are less angry-pixie comfortable.

I don't have any mods to do (at the moment) but if I'm free I'd be happy to help.

@JDEMELLO you have a lift? I'd sure like a put a leaf back in my 62" pack to lift the rear up some. Save me a bunch of time compared to using jack stands and floor jacks.

    Perfect!

That would be great. The more people there the better. If we all showed up and there wasn't anything to work on, we could throw together some quick how too

That would be awesome, more help is always good.

Yes but that's a fair amount of work to do in one day. Plus, it might be easier to cycle on the ground.

These are the kinds of things we'd love to educate on as well as help with. We see a lot of people who have old bad wiring that causes problems.
