As far as whether or not you have one, I can't help, I don't know too much about the 2nd gens.

    Oops, forgot, Welcome to TW.

TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development

Youll know if your truck is a TRD if it has a TRD sticker on the sides of the bed, unless the previous owner took them off. Then you will have to check and see what what features the TRDs came with for that year and if you have them.

IMO this is something you should have known before you bought the truck, it could make a big difference in the price you pay. The TRD packages come with extra features.

    Welcome to TW!

2 things I can think of quick are:
1 - does it have the temp. display in the overhead console?

2 - is there an elecctrical outlet on the side of the bed? (inside)

If not, it's not a TRD (Toyota Racing Development)

Did the 2005 TRDs come with the eletrical outlet?

RIP to my 08 Prerunner DC
    Welcome to TW from TX.
Another thing to look for is the yellow shocks.
If you have that chances are you are TRD unless it has the TSB done.

If you happen to be a the dealer, they can look up the options for it by your VIN.
