    Yeah I took them off. When I welded them. I did small short beads about 1-2in alternating between the spindles and a separate job, looked like shit with all the starts and stops.

    Another thing, since it's getting dark would be to blast your horn 3 long times then wait about a minute to see if you hear a report back. With the humidity in the air and the storm coming in, the sound might not travel very far, but it's worth a shot. Do this every so often if you are moving around. Kill the engine and radio of your car so you can eliminate as much unnatural noise as you can.

    I wonder how long that has been closed? Maybe they saw that and backed tracked to try and enter from the South End of Saline Valley Rd?

    Dunno, we're shooting blindly from here, but as everyone pointed out, they are most likely working on your truck and not looking for you at this point. If there was any way you could get as close to the truck as possible without putting yourself in any danger, I'd say try that. With nightfall coming and a less than capable car, your options are limited at this point.
