Tell him, no problem, anytime. I'm sorry I couldn't haven't been easier help. Not having my winch working hindered the rescue a bit.

My winch still doesn't want to work after changing all the solinoids. Gotta remove the bumper now to see wtf is going on with my winch.

 

Do you like it or would you rather have a big ass bumper?

 

I might swap mine out for a full plate bumper within a couple months and then I'll be selling the US Offroad. Yes I like it, it's served me well.

 

Absolutely hate the winch access on the ARB bumpers... after I put the spotties on it made it even harder to work the bastard.

 

How much you want for it?

The ARB on the 1st gen isn't too bad once you figure out which hole to stick your hand in on the front. The headlights on the 2nd gen are so much better than on the 1st gen that I wasn't planning on putting any aux driving lights so hopefully it'll work out easier.

Also, thanks for the Rustoleum color. I painted my bumper and it came out like ass. Lots of variation in color. I was figuring the garage would be warm enough at 60* but maybe not. I'll wait til warmer weather and try again. The bumper has been sitting for six months, what's another few?

 

Stupid question, you check the basics though?

 

It seems the positive pole inside the winch itself my be f'd up. Checked all the wires, the positive pole it self had some wiggle so got it tight and when I hit the go switch it arc'd on the case somewhere. Won't go in or out.

 

I like it. Only complaint is that access around the winch is a bit tight. Plugging in the controller requires opening the hood and reaching down. Other than that, it's been great for the couple of times I used it. It will definitely hold up to the abuses you put it through.

I'm sure warn has some kind of warranty

 

One year warranty on electrical. I'm guessing they'll say the motor falls into the electrical category.

 

That's a shame... I know the warn winches are completely rebuild able so at least you know there are parts
