Yeah, I don't think they intended on this happening.

 

Anyone listen to a scanner make sure there were no accidents that could have tied them up?

I've been sitting at 168 for 6hr, no emergency vehicles have passed. Not that they would, if they got into some shit they are on their own.

 

Plot twist, they both broke a spindle and only brought one spare out with them.

 

Have you ever actually tried an IPA from India? Ironically, i don't think I ever have.

 

Yeah that's one of the worst case scenarios

 

200 degrees seems to be a good temp based on the metal our spindles are made of.

 

What are the chances they camp out for the night?

 

It's possible, there's a developed back country hot springs 15ish miles south of my truck

 

jesus, this is one wild story! Anxiously waiting for updates, hope everything works out. Sounds like everyone in general has committed a lot of time to this.

 

Are you set up to spend the night out there as well?

 

If anything did happen I would speculate that they attempted the North Pass and got stuck on on some snow and ice. I know of one area before reaching the valley floor where this can potentially happen.

 

Going to hang out for a while, probably get a hotel in Bishop. Long story short I only have a set of prescription sun glasses with me and it's a little rough seeing at night without my regular glasses.

 

India Pale Ales are actually called that not because they are from India. They came from Britain when India was "owned" (if you will) by Britain and were shipped to India. Because of the way it used to be brewed and the long shipping times, the alcohol and flavors would "disentrgrate" and the beer would be shit. Which is why often times IPAs are high ABV.

 

I'm still waiting in Big Pine, I'll get a hotel after it gets too late.
