Did the stock wiring reach that far, or did you have to get longer wires?

Smack it with a hammer on the motor side. I guarantee it's the contacts. That's the advice I received from the WARN tech when I went to visit with mine. He also said you need to open it up occasionally and put on this special grease, I don't remember what it was called. Looking around, this looks like good advice. If you regularly open it up and re-grease, the contacts don't get stuck.

I did the same. wireless for life.
... and just because the video came out so well, I gotta post it again :D

I kept changing things around, so I have longer wires that could really be trimmed down. Worse comes to worse, you can re-use the stock wiring for fuse blocks and other battery related stuff :)

I smacked it with a hammer for almost 30min. Took the motor side loose and it looked OK. But couldn't get a good look. Will need to unmount the winch and maybe slide it to one side so I can remove the brushes and all that good stuff.

I thought maybe something was bound up in there so I free spooled a bunch, then decided to just unspool it all. I forgot I put a bunch of cinch wraps on the drum and it's cinched pretty good after all the winching I've done since installing rope. Now I have ~90' of rope wrapped around the front bumper.

Funny, I remember having that. Does yours click? My contacts would click. If your contacts don't click, then I bet you have a dead solenoid.

They click. Just replaced all 4. I don't think they where bad to begin with so I have 4 old xtras now. While I had the motor side apart I accidentally hit the in/out on the winch remote and the motor jumped. Somethings bound up I think or I dunno and the whole mf'r needs to come out for a bench cleaning.
