I just pulled in and was going to park on one side of it but then decided it would be cooler to drive over it and park on the other side.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
The first time I saw one I had to ask too Cuz I thought it was backwards. If I hadn't been in the military I might not have known either...

I'm just over 5000 miles and the dealer didn't change oil at the first service (which is normal) so I just spent $67 and some change for oil and a filter at Auto Zone. Jiffy Lube quoted me $100.

Buy your oil at WallyWorld and save A Lot. You can buy Toyota's filters from their parts dept and
save about half what you spent. Then take the oil and filter to the Service dept and they will only
charge for the labor +/- $20.00. E.g., I run Pensoil Platinum 0W20 Synthetic which is made from
natural gas at 5 qt for $25.00, 1qt for $7.94 and the Toyota oil filter costs about $4.95 each plus
the $20.00 to the Service Dept. So I get the job done for less than $60.00 and I can watch it being
    done.

I have a 17 Sport with stock tires and live in Western NY where the winters are brutal. I think the stock tires are really good in the snow. I was initially thinking I wanted to swap on snow tires right away until I realized the stocks were actually good. Now I'm waiting until I have to change. Maybe because you live in a place where you hardly get snow, you're just not used to driving in it.

Regardless, there's still a lot of folks who still throw away perfectly good oil at 3,000, and 5,000 miles. Some even thow out Synthetic at those distances. I say to each their own, but I'm not about to waste that kind of money if the recommended change interval is 10,000 and my driving conditions aren't considered "Harsh" where more frequent changes are recommended.

It looks like it's his first 5k on the truck. I did mine to my new 17 when I hit 5k as well, just as a precautionary measure. After that I will follow the 10k intervals.

I just pay the service dept. $65.00 to change mine and don't have to stop at Walmart.
