2013 trd sport battery

I have this battery. Also installed a PowerRev Racing aluminum battery hold-down P/N P017 intended for Toyota 86 and a pair of 8" J-bolts from my local auto parts store.

 

Northstar batteries weigh about 70 lbs so yeah there will be extra shipping charges involved. I suppose that's for ya...

 

Cool, I missed in the original post where you had a 2013 TRD. All the V-6 after 2009 came with the 27f from the factory.

 

May be true in Canada, don't think this is true for the U.S.

 

I just replaced battery 27F in my 2007 TRD sport. Original lasted almost 10 years. I could not find a 27F anywhere so picked up a 24F everstart from Walmart. walmart batteries Costco batteries and many others are all made by Johnson controls who supply almost 1/3 of all batteries sold in USA/Canada. Nothing wrong with them. My truck has sat outside for 1 week in - 20 C (used my wifes car) and I plugged it in last night. It went down to - 38 C and truck started and turned over great. Unless you are running a lot of added accessories etc. you don't need an AGM battery.

thanks. had to settle with a 24F. price same for batteries. they tried putting a 27 in and i said i need a 27F. Sam's club now shows 24F as replacement battery.

No 27F at Costco (in my area).

The 24F wouldn't strap down so I went to dealer and picked up a 27F.

If you are looking at the Wal-Mart sponsored batteryfinder.com website it is most likely because they do not offer a 27F battery, but that is something that would be addressed with Wal-Mart who operates the website.

+1 on the Everstart Maxx Wally World battery... I put one in the RAV4 and it's been great for the past 8 months. I did all the research - this one is also manufactured by Johnson's Controls and is pretty much the same as an Interstate Megatron. When I got that battery, it's actual CCA measurement was 80 higher than the rating, which is a good thing. These batteries all the same anyway for the most part. If you pay extra, you get a longer warranty..if you go cheap you get a really short warranty. The everstart maxx (only this one, not the cheapo $40 they sell) is right in the middle.

If you care about the battery having Wally World labeling on it...it's a pretty easy to remove label. Just stick it on the side, and you'll be left with the Everstart Maxx label on the top, which doesn't have any Wally World reference.

 

I'll need a new battery soon and was wondering which ones to check out aswell. I'm going to give a hard look at that Northstar 27F
