FS TRD Battery Hold Downs

Quick question......Will the raw tie down start to corrode it left untreated? ......I live in the Midwest so not directly exposed to the elements being under the hood but still here non the less. If so, what could I do to keep it silver which mirrors the "TRD" on the S/C. I'd just like to hand paint the letters with a paint pen.

The aluminum will corrode over time. I have some that I have painted the TRD red and clearcoated the entire hold down. It is not as good as powedercoated, but it is better than bare.

 

Are they narrow? And how much?.....powdercoat price?

 

I have a narrow that is brushed aluminum and the TRD is painted red. Then the hold down is clear coated. This is done with paint, not powdercoat. price is $75. I have one in stock.

One more quick question....if I were to decide at one point to change the letter color to black. Would I just go over it with a paint pen or sand it out with an appropriate dremmel tip then paint pen? ...or would I mess up the clear and should just leave it? Sorry for the ramble.
