I'm looking for a place where I can get dimensions to fabricate my own 2 inch leveling kit for a gen 1 Tacoma. Thanks.

I know this isn't going to help you fabricate your own 2" leveling kit. But, those things are so cheap you can probably buy one for less than you can make one for.

It's just I work in a machine shop, and was going to make my own in my spare time. Just can't find any prints on the parts. Thanks

I machined some aluminum spacers for my truck before I had my lift, but I have a 60lb skidplate and 120lb tube bumper. I made a model in CAD with the spacing for the upper shock mount holes and just overlaid it on a piece of aluminum stock, used a punch to mark the center/bolt holes and drilled them out. I can email you the template if you'd like. I think 0.800" was the magic number for me to level my truck out.

Never mind, I can upload PDFs here. Make sure you print it off 1:1 (ignore the specified scale on the drawing). I can get exact dimensions later if you'd like.

Ok. I'll give it a look. I was going to machine strut spacers out of 6160 aluminum, and rear blocks out of BDS, and put a dowel pin in for locating. I just can't find dimentions, or a set before it goes on. My truck is level now just wanting to lift it 2 inches for looks. Email is kmcdonald43907@yahoo.com. thanks for help.

No problem. Just remember that if you want a 2" lift, you'll want 1" tall spacers because of how the strut is located approx. halfway between the LBJ and the LCA pivot. Do you have any access to solidworks? I can send you the model I made as well.

We got solidworks but I don't get to access. I do manual job shop work. Can you dimension that print you sent? Any dimentions on rear blocks for that 2 inch lift?

I only did a set of front leveling spacers. I avoided the block lift idea because I wanted to avoid axle wrap when wheeling.

fabricate an AAL for the rear and avoid those blocks :D

fwiw I support the Physics Dept and they use SolidWorks, but alas I have no clue how to use it.

Could you please send the Solidworks model to my email address, it's loganblaine99@gmail.com. I'm looking to make a kit myself.

go tapered BL if you aren't changing anything else (i.e., just leveling) - why take the front IFS out if its mid-range of travel?

2 year old post, also @loganblaine99 use the @ symbol and he may get a notice, otherwise you can click on his name and "start a conversation" since they have been off the forums for a few months
