    While it's not on any new vehicle schedule, many of us like to do a break in oil change. (Old school used to do it at 500 miles). They say new engines don't really need it but I myself had it done at 1k. Now I will go at 10k intervals.

    I just spent 37k for my truck, it's brand new, I want to be sure to clear out the metal flakes and so forth. Also piece of mind, I plan on owning this vehicle for a long time. After just doing my first oil change for the truck @5k I will follow the 10k maintenance schedule. I'm only referring to my first change.

    I bet I would frustrate the shit out of you... Not only do I change my oil every 5k miles, but I use Amsoil Signature, which is guaranteed for 25k miles!!!

    Oh, and I run premium (91 octane) every fill up.

    Not everyone feels the way you do.
    I'll change my synthetic oil between 8000-10,000 and that kms not miles.
    Throwing away perfectly good oil?
    I view it as preventive maintenance. My standards for that are sometime more strict then the manufacturer. They suggest every 16,000kms.
    The manufacturer wants you to spend money on a new vehicle not preserve your current one.
    I think that those 15-25 year old Toyotas that people find, or own, in amazing condition mechanically and otherwise have owners that are probably going above and beyond manufactures recomendations.
    Frequent oil changes are a part of that.

    I do agree that there is a point where oil is being changed way before it's reached it's effective life.

    :rofl::rofl:

    to each their own. from a mechanical stand point I think it's unnecessary. The tolerance in these newer engines and manufacturing is pretty damn good.

    Here, I have something for you all.

    Probably because stores have not / no interest in and stocking their products. They go through kickstarter, get a lot of attention and a lot of money in the process. This will allow them to establish store front and possibly interest in a store to carry their product.

    If you have a 2017 trd sport and it came with stock 17" rims then you can not size down to 16" rim. You can only get a 16" rim if the stock came with that size, I was originally going to do 16" but then I found out this information and had to go with 17" rim. And I have a 2.5" spacer in the front and the back is stock.

    Not today, but I've had the truck about two months and have plasti-derped the grille, plugged the receiver with a Toyota plug, and removed the air dam. Also, joined over two years ago and this is my first post and second Tacoma :) Plan to de-badge, get some Bro2s, and possibly some LED fogs by RigidIndustries. Maybe a small lift down the road.
