I'm very curious as to what explanation we get...

Haha..I know what you mean and it makes me smile! I really enjoy driving a MT and even named it "Manny." lol My husband gets a kick out of me because I am a girly girl who loves makeup, but I also love cars, trucks and driving a manual. The salesman had to laugh when we purchased the Tacoma and I commented that I love Inferno because it matched one of my favorite lipsticks, which I was wearing at the time. :)

Not sure. I'm doing the Desert Safari the first weekend in March (sponsored by Tierra Del Sol off road club) at Salton Sea/Ocotillo Wells. When is the JV trip?

See below... honestly, it's kind of, if it aint broke, don't fix it.... I've run premium on my last 2 trucks before this (Dodge Ram & FX4), never had any engine/fuel issues; sold last truck (Dodge Ram) with 186K miles on it. Now, that's not to say I didn't have other issues, that were totally un-related to the fuel I used, and it's also not to say if I didn't run regular I would have experienced any issues. I just started using it over 10 years ago, so I'm used to the added cost... Of course I had a tune on those previous trucks as well, so a slightly higher octane was called for... I know that's not the case with this vehicle, but again, something I've been using... no issues... keep on keeping on.

    Damn right.... 'Merica!!!

Don't know... Only tank that wasn't premium, was the first take the dealer put in when I purchased back in July.
I also add a fuel injector cleaner at every oil change (so every 5k).

    :notsure:

    Who me??? :D

Oh wow, the Nissan Juke Nismo, right? When did she get it? How does she like it? I really like the look of that car. I recently mentioned that one to my husband. I have a Mazda 3 commuter car that we will be trading in soon and am looking at options. We are going to the auto show this weekend and am very excited to check out all the possibilities! :)

Oh, did this yesterday.... well not really something I did to my Tacoma, but still kept it in the family.

    Wife got a new vehicle... 2016 4Runner Trail 4x4.
Coming from a buyback VW Jetta TDI.... dealer only had a handful of 2016's left on the lot, and we made a great deal, since I knew they were trying to move it; besides it was this or pay 10k more for a limited. Figure it's a good backup vehicle if I get stuck, zombie apocalypse, etc.

In that case, it is a very sound and logical reason.

Sub micron particles are not trapped by the filter, so the more frequent the better.
