It was pretty challenging on a motorcycle. Miles of sugar sand, some of that sand was like 10" deep. Then coming up to where the trail would turn to water for as far as you can see. I just did my best, stood on the pegs and tried to stay out of ruts. Even then, sometimes the water would reach your knees. It's a cool area.

Ya definitely eventually going to 4.56 but I have the 6spd so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to limp around for a while till I can re-gear and while I'm spending money I'm gonna give my base model with some locker loving and go ARB front and rear. $$$$$$ so probably not for a while but hey it's paid off in less than a year which is wicked awesome hahaha

I'll be planning ahead for regearing and a rear locker, but I also have the 6spd and she's been perfectly fine with 33's as far as power and ratios.

Either of those would be great bikes. I rode the BMW F650GS Twin from central PA to NJ with stock dual-sport tires, rode the sand roads of the Pine Barrens all weekend, then rode home. A lighter ds bike would be a lot more fun in that area.

Worth it. With 6-12 inches of snow and then more on trail day it should make for a verh interesting run.

EDIT: So long as you dont get in trouble presumably.

Good then, Im pretty sure we will have a good time. Although we wont, but you could spend hours back there. The sand pit area is the funnest if you havent been yet.

I would stick with the 33s until you can do the regear. I have the 6 speed, 33s, and close to 700lbs in armor, there is no way I am going to a bigger tire with out regearing. You'll end up murdering that clutch.

I just installed a Pelfreybilt front plate bumper and winch on my truck, had 650 springs and there is defiantly some front end sag. I have 700lbs springs sitting in my garage ready to mount, hopefully Friday, and then come play on Saturday. I'll let you know the difference in height once I get the 700s mounted and installed.
