I picked up my new 6" glass last week. I think I might need to trim for 33s, lol.

Got it back today. Still need some hardware to align it and a lot of other shit to do on it before it's road worthy. Was thinking of putting it in storage for a few months then once I save up a decent amount I can start address all its issues. I wanna get the whole truck re wired, motor rebuilt and properly tuned, and figure out all the issues that I've been ignoring for the last few months.

Eventually you have to say ok time to drive it in between all that work. Work on it too much and you'll get burnt out.

An update while I sit in class waiting for it to start

Head gasket failed so the motor came out for that and the heads went off to the machine shop to be resurfaced. Sucked but after replacing most of everything on the top end i now have more confidence in the truck after seeing how bad it was before lol
    IMG_0868.jpg

Decided to paint the truck because that's what you do when you have a non running truck
    IMG_1337.jpg
    IMG_1332.jpg

And once we paint it this weekend it goes back to JTA aka @jeffzorz for some fab'd spindles and other misc work

I do not actually. Kind of the curse when you buy something already built I guess you don't know exactly what was used haha

Yea not the best use of time or money but at least it'll look good sitting there lol

For the sake of cheap probably black. Wanted to do a less used color to be a little different but the cost started adding up lol also all of my brothers new service trucks are gonna be black including a semi and 53' trailer so having the truck be the same color with matching side decals would be rad.

Yea it's been a minute man! How's the new truck treating you? I've been hesitant to mod my17' but lifted one some nice wheels and tires just so good lol

    Also a few truck updates.

Finally got the motor back together and it looks like we did a decent job at it lol still needs a tune and I need to figure out which wire go to what gauge since I currently have no gauges at all (temps or pressures)

    IMG_1963.jpg
    IMG_1936.jpg

Then dropped the truck off st JTA for some fabbed spindles to finish off the front kit. Also gonna be bumping off the upper with the new spindles
    IMG_1971.jpg

Picked up some double bypasses at the off-road swap meet over the weekend. Gonna have Jeff mount then and cycle the rear end since I currently have 18"s that are too long to begin and they're smoothies

I don't know I'm still not sold on my 17 yet I kinda miss my 2nd gen sometimes, if it wasn't so impractical to buy a used 15 compared to the price of the 17 I would've done that. My main thing is the damn tranny that never stops shifting lol gets frustrating at times. Shoulda bought the manual lol

I've had 5 first gens (2 of which I still have), 1 2nd gen, and the 3rd gen so far. I'm done with trucks tho after these I wanna switch over to cars for a bit. Seems more practical for what I've been doing the last few months
