I have the chance to buy a black bull bar for $50 but not sure if I would like it or if it will look cheesy... I have a white TRD OR with black method wheels... what does everyone think?

    Bull bars for looks.
    And/or hang lights on.
    If you like it.
$50 seems like good price to try it out...
    If not.... can always re-sell

    No, just no.

They'll end up doing more damage in the event of an impact, but it's honestly up to you. If you think it looks cheesy, don't do it.

I agree with this. But sometimes they can look cool. Just know there is a risk with them if they are hit hard.

Thats funny, a woman at work has one on her Tacoma. She had her accelerator get stuck and plowed forward into a wall in front of her store and it kept her truck just about same as it was. probably an anomaly, but go figure.

I say go for it. Im not a bull bar fan, but dont think they look bad. My thing is when people put them on for real offroading and realize they cant stand up to that.

The bar can be pushed up into the grille with enough force.

I just wanted some input from the TW family! Thanks guys and if anyone is interested you can PM me and I'll let my friend know and maybe work out a deal

It is also bolted to the reinforcement bar for the bumper. So when you hit something it basically acts as a wrench that ruins that bar when it might otherwise not have bent on impact.
Fucking up your bumper is already expensive let alone ruining the underlying reinforcment.

It's really up to the user - the price is right, but ask yourself, are you thinking of this just because of the price? If it was $150 is it something you'd want?

I don't like 'em, they serve no purpose
