Just got my fiberwerx front fenders in and tried messing around with fitment a bit. Any tips on trimming/fitment or anything else when it comes to install? I already know a few small areas that I will have to trim right now (to include the headlight area). First time doing this and definitely no shop around to do it for me

    Nice. I do remember this.

I would consider that too. Pretty simple to setup and easy to make work on around the stock stuff like the fuel tank.

be tight one our double cabs. Almost no room between the cab and the rear wheels.

But @Zam15 is in process of this right now on his double cab. he went with a 9'' axle and all though.

thats why i was just thinking of mounting the shocks off the axle. then you dont gotta fuss with trailing arms but still get clean travel. saw ruff stuff came out with their new campbell trailing arms but it would still be tight.

41'' seems short too..thought 55'' was ideal for our trucks..

Alright guys I have a few questions, I'm in the process of cleaning my rear frame and prepping it for my 4link kit, partially know what I'm doing on some of it and others I have no clue... IMG_0558.jpgwhat is that knuckle on the driver side frame I understand it's part :( of the brakes but I believe I can relocate it or delete? I need major help with the brake portion of the 4 linking and setting up the 4 links cycle... anyone chime in with what makes it easier, what I should do while I wait for the link kit... etc anyone that knows how to properly set one up... (ignore the logs they were temporary)

thats the rear brake proportioning valve. I'd just throw it out and get a manual one. Front Range Offroad sells a great kit for it. And you can pick up a long ass new steel brake line once you know how long you'll need it. 30'' should be plenty though.

Id go ahead a box the whole frame while you're there. And add cross members depending on your plans for a fuel cell.

Grabbed a 32 gal jaz and I'm glad you brought that up cause I looked everywhere but nothing particularly useful in install one with lines and such... should I just trash the hardliners that come out the back side of the cab? Or..?

The hard "fuel" lines coming out of the middle of the cab are for vacuum to the evap stuff, you will need those to keep emissions, or at least properly cap them or you will lose vacuum and cause all kinds of other issues. The other two lines from the middle of the cab that have the small rubber extensions are the fuel line and return fuel line. The lines for the brakes will need to be replaced, most likely from the master cylinder all the way to the rear wheels. You will need a flexible line at the front of the upper link so you can run down the upper link, then another flexible part where the link connects to the axle. I read its very hard to make the flares in old brake lines so thats why you will probably need to replace the entire line

    40" you say? :goingcrazy:

They would pretty much bolt right in depending on where the shock mounts sit... :goingcrazy:
Maybe after I kill the current links and want to add bypass shocks I might come back to those....

shock mounts are 10" from heim all the way in to the bypass mount, then 5" fron bypass to coilover mount
