    Good idea

Hey looky here wise guy, why I oughta! Just kidding, I think silver paint wouldn't come out looking like the metal finish. I think it would look too grey but it's worth a shot. I just don't want the black tire to get lost with a black fender, I'd like there to be some contrast

Only caution I will give you if you choose to only clear bare metal is make sure you prep it properly and get the correct additives in the paint. Nothing worse than clear coated metal starting to rust a few months after clearing, or it turning yellow.

I'm making today a big trailer day! I cleaned out the inside and now I'm working on converting the 2" ball both setup to the 2" square receive set up. My Klutch plasma cutter was super Klutch today. Made easy work of cutting all that metal off

Yeah. That's what I thought too. That's why I'll probably try to find a silver paint that resembles the bare metal as best as possible

Hahaha I have a neighbor that lives down the street who always walks by when I'm cutting stuff on my truck or someone else's and he sits there and watches with the most perplexed look on his face and afterwords says "you kids are crazy, cutting up a perfectly good truck"

He's a super nice dude haha, I just tell him "it's fun, we're making them better"

    Awesome!!!! Thanks dude

Haha it's a game changer bro!

What about painting them white to match the trailer and truck?

    If I can't find a silver/grey that I like, that'll be the next choice!

Haha right on dude!! Yeah you need a place to store all those tools man! Need a house with a garage! I love my garage but it's small. I'm toying with the idea of cutting it off and extending my driveway and building a big 2 car garage in the backyard

 I love it! Yesss! Gold star for you!

I think they have that Hammered finish in Silver as well. It's easy to work with and holds up pretty good.

What angle of articulation do you think you'll need to tow the trailer at? Honest question not a critique... I see a lot of trailer builds using this method and I think "yeah less slack than a pintle hook, but would a regular ball not work?"
