Last 12 TRD Pro Grilles before Toyota Price Increase

Bro let's get this straight, I'm not slandering you or tarnishing your reputation or trying to hurt your feelings.
I'm just pointing out that NONE of what you have said is accurate.
I asked you some simple questions and you haven't answered a single one
So either you've been fed some bad BS, you're making stuff up, or you are just wording your responses very poorly

Toyota controls the pricing..earlier you said the PDC controls the pricing, and its regional.
But it's not. Again the price file that Toyota puts out monthly for every single part, has never reflected a parts price supersession.

Now you are calling it a glitch in their system...and I completely buy that completely.
But previously you said they increased the price to offset losses on damaged parts and improvements to packaging.
Where did that come from if it was just a glitch in the system?

And if you only set a cost + for your pricing, and the cost has gone back down why hasn't that been updated on the site.

I've seen you quote $479, 475, and now 470 as the increased cost...which one was it?
And regardless of which one it was, the "new" deal price was well below your cost+ Employee pricing formula that you've been selling to people on here.
How is that possible? Jim is graciously going to take cost + less than 6.5% on the new pricing of the grilles?
Will he do that off the old cost? I'll take 5 right now. If all of a sudden you're willing to do deals like that, I'll buy 3 grand worth of parts right now.

And you supposedly bought grilles @ 479 and then sold them on here at the old price? I don't really think so.
And the dates on those stock orders just don't jive with what you've posted, or coincide with how Toyota actually handles price supersessions.

I will address each of your concerns one by one... ok?

A: Toyota send out a master tape at the beginning of each month with Pricing updates. It dictates a certain price. Depending on the region you are in, how much volume you do, or who you know, you get whatever Toyotas base cost is plus your dealerships specific percentage. For the Northwest cost on the grille is $339.00 (For most dealers that the cost) The PDC (Portland Distribution Center) goes off what of Toyota tells them to sell the grilles for. So if Toyota updates their master tape and send it to the PDC, the PDC goes by what Toyota says.

A:s both myI really do this it was a glitch that caused the PDC to get that price increase from Toyota, either that or the Price is going to go into effect, just not this early and someone made an error. I assumed as well a manager and assistant manager did, that they were raising the price due to all of the losses they took the damaged grilles going out. and now its costing them money to package them correctly. I gave information I believe to be true based on the information I had at my finger tips.

A: Toyota controls the base price. the actual COST. Everyone who has a parts website, generally uses a Cost +% pricing format because its easy and straight forward. So when Revolutionparts got the master tape from Toyota with the price increase, it automatically calculates the new price based off of what the new cost is. Every website company is different, Revolution parts, partssites and other companies all update at different times. Toyota is the only company that can alter the cost of an item for the master tape, and they are the only ones who can send those numbers to the website companies.

A: I'll be honest, the different between the 470,475 and 479 was just from typing quickly and not recalling the number correctly. That is my mistake and my bad. I should have been more accurate with the cost of the new grille. The reason i was willing to reduce the cost after the price went up was because of how unfair the price would become. I know I couldnt sell the grilles for what they were before, but I still wanted to try and give everyone a deal. So I decided on that item and that item only, id take a hit so that is was easier for the people of the TacomaWorld community to afford one. We all know it was overprice to begin with and a $600 is just plain dumb. All I was trying to do was make it more affordable for everyone.

A: The stock order sheets I posted were not of THEE day the price went up and THEE day the price went down. Those were just the first stock order sheets I could find in order to show that there was in fact an alteration in what the PDC was charging us for the TRD Pro Grilles. I get why the dates look funny in corelation to what I said, but those were just the first stock orders I could rummage up to show I wasnt lying and that there was in fact an alteration to the price. The reason I posted right away was because I genuinely thought that the price was going up and was going to stay up, so I was trying to let everyone know ASAP. Then I just looked stupid when Toyota went back and changed it. Still... I dont know why it went up and then back down. I contacted the PDC to try and get some information but they are yet to get back to me. I am also going to contact Toyota of Dallas to see what they have to say on the matter since their prices went up and then back down too.



Hopefully this will help everyone clear things up a bit.

Titus sold a grill that is sold by every dealership in the United States, for a price that can be compared to any other of those dealerships. People bought it at a price they wanted to spend, no sales were forced.

Dick measuring for who is King of Internet is fucking retarded. Nobody cares. Anybody who gets a ban today is forgotten tomorrow, and it doesn't matter who sold what to who, who gave away stuff to who, or who got a discount for who.

At this point we are just having an academic discussion, but thanks for answering all of that.
I'm still not swallowing that the PDC, Revolution parts, and Gulf States Toyota got some kind of a glitched price file, and no one else did. Especially since the price tape never changed. There's something else going on there.
If there's an error on the tape, everyone gets it, but that's neither here nor there now.

Speaking of the price tape..

I CAN VERIFY MARCHS PRICE TAPE STILL SHOWS THE SAME OLD PRICE.
SAME AS IT HAS BEEN SINCE NOVEMBER.
So there will be no increase coming, atleast not for this month and or next.

Unchained5150 has treated me great in the past, this is my second purchase from him.

I tend to stick with the folks that treat me well and do excellent work, he's certainly got my biz from now on.

 

I just want to sum up that I never wanted to come off as an ass, the only reason I posted in his thread even knowing I shouldn't have. Was because I thought he was SOLD OUT as he showed them all packed up and ready to go. I did open my own deal thread but figured if people were still looking for one I would let people know. Instead of tagging everyone to come over to my deal thread which would have taken forever, it was just easier to place the deal thread in here. I have zero issue with Jordan and only posted the deal as that's what I do. No hard feelings and as stated I never would have put it in this thread if he didn't state that the 12 he had was SOLD OUT AND GONE.
