This that and the other thing.
I'm hoping to follow this thread. Hopefully it all goes well haha see also post #6 for trigger wire. I'm going to solder my wires instead of jamming in some connectors. I am a firm believer in soldering connections to insure the best connection possible.

On the phone now, calling for it to be picked up and taken to salvage auction.

I was set on an F150, but my wife was apprehensive. So, I'll be getting a '17 DCLB SR5 V6 with tow to replace it, and when she's ready it'll get traded in or sold for the F150.

Kinda weird, but financially makes some sense. She's not ready for the price tag of the F150 (we have our second child coming in August, my daughter just turned 18 months old), and the Tacoma will be a low depreciating vehicle to transition into it, so still money well spent, just money well spent elsewhere. On the bright side, I won't take much hit as the payout from my totaled 2013 puts me much further ahead than my previous loan did.

I know.. estimated at 134 hours of total labor. New cab, new hood, paint and body work plus swapping remaining pieces from one cab to the new.. lot of expense.

Looks like the only winner is the salvage auction/buyer.

    Sorry to hear that.

    I actually did pretty good.

In 2013 I paid $24,700. Drove it for 57k miles, and I'm getting a check for $29.8k from insurance. Not all of that is mine, but that's the overall payout amount. I'm splitting it with my lending company who still holds the note.

    A thing or two...
WTF? That must have been a boat load of snow. I had a tree fall on mine a couple of weeks ago, and it was just over $7k in damage. Replacing the roof, hood, left headlight, left front quarter, and windshield is the bulk of it.
