Hey guys, new here and am in the process of ordering a 2017 Quicksand Tacoma OR Manual Transmission. I forgot to ask the dealership so was seeing if anyone on here knew. Do i just order the TRD Pro Grill and TRD Pro rims(wheels) from the dealer at the same time?

    Thanks!

Lol...must be common! I've got a 2016 tacoma, the wife just got a 2016 CX-5. Both are fun to drive for different reasons! (Wife just loves mazda. went from a protege, to a 3 hatchback, now the CX-5)

If I did not move so much I would be driving one. I had only seen them on cars.com until 2 weeks ago I stopped to pick my watch up at the jewelry store and one pulled in a couple spaces from me. I was surprised to see they are bigger than I thought. This one was a Soul Red colored. I liked it. U-Haul rents pick ups now so I guess if I were to trade I could rent a pick up for moving.

I'll probably keep my black princess though as she is paid for. :)

Tinted the windows. Looks a lot better in my opinion. Grabbed some floor mats as well. Should be in soon.

How big of a tire can I go on these stock wheels without it rubbing? Look at the common KO2s by BFG.. let me know

Hahaha thats funny!! Thats how we got started my wife got a protege wagon first. She got t-boned, so we got her a hatch 3. Then I got my job at the dealership and I got myself a 3 as a commuter. I sold my chevy and her 3 to buy my taco. Then we traded my three for her cx-5. I know I have a problem, haha between my wife and I, we've had 10 cars in 5 years. I'm hoping these two will be it for a while...

Yea that's a good call I always like having a truck around. If I were you I would hold off for a bit. I'm being told by my higher ups that we are going to see a diesel in the Cx-5 this fall.

265/75R16 or 265/70R17 depending on if you want 16" or 17" wheels. Both come out to a 31.6" diameter tire.

Sorry, didn't see you said on those wheels. Those are the 16" alloy SR-5 wheels so 265/75R16 should fit no problem.

I would try to have them work with you on the grill and wheels. If they are not willing to check the price they are charging for each on the paperwork. Grill should be no more than $450. Not sure about the TRD Pro wheels. Google search them and a toyota dealership out of Dallas should pop up. Have them match their price. Swap out the wheels as soon as you get your truck and throw your off road rims on Craigslist.

I worked the grill into my truck deal and got it for 1/2 off their cost. The wheels would have been a lot so I didn't do that as a part of the truck deal. Right after I bought the truck, I went to the parts manager and had her pricematch Toyota of Cool Springs for the Pro wheels and will now sell the stock wheels. I saved $168 on the wheels price that way just on their price. For some reason they wouldn't pricematch as part of the truck deal but would afterwards

He can make almost anything. send him that and tell him what you want. He will mock one up before making it. Great to work with.

Kind of depends on the situation at home. It might be easier to negotiate as part of the deal and have installed at time of purchase rather than convincing the other half that you need brand new wheels for your brand new truck after the fact. But, you might get a better deal by purchasing after you own it and shop around. I'm not sure the sales guys cut the cost as much as we think they ought to when buying a new truck. I negotiated the Pro grill into my purchase for $400 and installed for another $100. Not great, but not bad. They were willing to give me $400 trade for the OR wheels and tires as trade for new wheels and tires.

They charged you $100 to install the pro grille?
