I've been lurking for awhile and decided to finally join. I've got an 01 power stroke that, due to a recent baby, I've decided to sell and get a taco.
I'm hoping to find a nice 2nd gen double cab that will last me and be cheaper to drive and maintain for the right price.

Welcome! You'll find a big group from Tennessee in their specific sub forum, as well as a fairly active group from Kentucky in the "Official Central Kentucky Thread" in (of all places) the Midwest sub forum.

That's a good looking power stroke man. I'm torn I really don't want to get rid of mine. I love it, but it needs a bit of TLC and I don't have the cash to put into it. Not to mention a smaller truck would be more practical and affordable for my new family. I don't want to give up load capacity but love the look of the gen2 tacos and like the off-road prowess they have.

Thx man. The 3/4 and 1 tons are def more capable when doing what they're designed to do but, the Tacomas are better trucks. At least the 1st & 2nd gens. The jury is still out on the 3rd gen.

    Still nothing yet :/
I have to sell my current ride before I can make a move.
I have found a few trucks up in the Northeast that are priced pretty fairly, I'm just concerned about rust since there are no pictures underneath. I ideally want a trd off-road so I don't have to add a locker down the road. If I can snag a double cab 4x4 in good working condition for a decent price and get what I want to get from my power stroke, I'm going to try to put a little less down and grab a mid travel kit.
