toytec coilovers

sorry if this is on here all ready im impatiatiant and only went through a couple of pages on here but on the toytec coil overs the ones that are on back order right now do you have to use the oem top plate for them? caz it seems like it would be worth saving the 200$ for putting it together myself. here is a link to the ones im talking about

 

You do not use the OEM parts.

To assemble those you would need to use your stock top mount plates.

No, it says in the description you would need to use your stock top plate. Now, if you spend $200 they will come fully assembled.

got ya does it make any hight diffrence with the stock top plate vs. the toytec? and 200 bucks thats half of my ucas

My bad. I assumed he was talking about the other set! I say save up a little more and get some kings or fox coilovers.

 

why do you say that do yout not like the toytecs?

 

Its not that I dont like them. Just that most people on here that run those end up upgrading in the future. Another plus is that coilovers such as fox and kings are fully rebuildable. So you never need new shocks like the toytecs. I have the Fox ones and they are adjustable to. they have a knob to adjust the softness and firmness. I picked mine up used for a great price.

 

i am rolling on the Toytec coil overs if you do not mind a significantly stiffer ride go with it.... i like my set up alot but if you dont like stiff save up for a different set....but i will say that in a few years or so i will be def upgrading moving to fox king or something else just giving my input since i have them

 

yeah but a grand for some coils is pretty rediculas tho exspecialy for me considering im 19 and trying to save up for theses then go for a dakar leaf pack i dont mind the stiffness i would take it over the stock ride anyday i hate the spacers i have on now i like how it looks and stands but hate not haveing the articulation of a coilover shitty for wheeling how big of a diffrence is it between the fox/king and the toys? is it like night and day or just verry suttle i had a buddy that had a set of fox on his power stroke and he said that they were overrated

 

I say just save up for them. It will save you money and time in the long run. If you really want, you can just buy the front billy 5100's and set them at 2.5" in the meantime.

honestly i love my set like ya it is a big difference it is stiff but anything is better than stock and spacers for that matter..... i am happy with the set up i have the toytec coilovers with a Fabtech AAL and i can't complain..... so honestly if you feel you would like it go for it also i have the Eibach spring too so my set up is a little different the the normal toytec coilover system like the picture above......
