So I've been wanting a set of black wheels and fell in love with the pro comp 7089's. I was planning on finally buying them and called a local wheel shop and they told me those wheels won't fit my '06 prerunner! they said the wheels are fine if your brake pads are a little worn but, will rub the brake calipers when the pads are new. I've seen plenty of tacos with these wheels.

anyone out there have this problem with these wheels??

    WTF.

On a 2nd Gen... (ie, 2005-2010 Tacomas) they'll fit so long as they are 16" or greater.

What theres no way contact 4wheelonline.com theyll tell you different. The wheel specs are almost identical to the fj wheels. Youll be fine ill be buying the 7089s next month for mine.

I think 4WP was trying to tell guys the same thing. Obviously they fit. I have a set of the 7189's. Not on yet though...

Oh yea I did call 4WP, way too pricy to install and they also said they would have to try one on first cuz they weren't too sure they would fit.

looks good! do the non-hub centric wheels give you any problem with vibration?

I dont know. i had a pair of non-hub centric wheel spacers that caused vibration and was told i needed hub centric ones to fix the problem. but i guess that just goes for wheel spacers?

What kind were they? I'm pretty sure only lug centric wheels fit on our trucks.
