Absolutely! Not taken that way. So I went camping in mammoth with my wife and little girl last September and we were in our roof top tent. It was 30 degrees and it was miserable for them. I was building a 4x6 military style trailer to haul extra gear and stuff and when we got home from that trip I immediately sold it cuz it wasn't going to fit our needs. I started looking at travel trailers and was ready to buy one but really didn't like the thought of being limited to a camp ground. So I started thinking, what could I make/buy that is big enough to sleep in and be more comfortable but still be able to take into the middle of nowhere (lighter trails of course, this thing ain't doing the rubicon lol).

So that's where this puppy started. I figured, it's cheap enough, large enough to sleep in, but still light weight and small enough to take down lighter trails and back into BLM land and stuff. I decided to go with the max coupler hitch setup just in case I want to challenge myself a little with the trailer and need it to be able to articulate better than a standard ball.

Hopefully that answers your question haha

Paint fenders color of truck, and then add an accent stripe or something of same color to an area of trailer. I think it will tie everything in nicely. I had a cargo trailer I use for work and put a stripe at the bottom to match truck, looked great. You can by vinyl pretty cheap, match the paint you use, easy install. I have OCD,I like everything to match or tie in well.A white trailer is great for your purpose, it will stay cooler. Just my 2 cents,I love your build, looks great.

Not a bad idea at all. Thanks for your input. I was thinking of doing some sort of graphic or accent on the body of the trailer somewhere to try to make it look even more badasserer. But we'll see haha. Thanks man, I'm getting excited that it's getting closer to being done!

Hahaha that's awesome. Yeah dude, my daughter is getting big. Doing new things everyday haha it's so much fun!

And thanks man! It was awesome going to write thing down on the calendar and seeing that picture for the whole month!

Naw, I've had it for probablya little over a year now! It's so awesome dude. It makes things so easy when you need to make long cuts in plate or you just don't wanna use your grinder haha. This one was $650 from Northern Tool. About $300 for the 35 gal air compressor. So it's a little expensive but worth it for a lot of things.

    Cool thanks man!

So I'm done for the day. Painted up the hitch receiver area at the tongue of the trailer. Got the fenders situated. And lastly I cleaned up all the wiring to the battery in preparation of making a tray for the battery box. Overall, a lot of progress on the trailer today in my opinion!

    I'd rock one...

On the subject of painting the fenders: if you want to keep them silver, I'd stay away from clear coat. It really does have a hard time sticking to bare metal no matter how well you prep. If you prime and paint them silver, theres an old custom trick to get them to look like brushed aluminum or stainless. Paint them silver and let it dry (doesn't need to cure all the way, but dry to the touch). Take red steel wool and using light pressure, slide it across the surface from front to back in one motion. No back and forth, Ryan-san. repeat this process across the entire surface of the fender with a 50% overlap on your passes. The trick to this is to make your passes parallel to each other and even. By the time you get about half way, you should see the texture you're going for. Brushed stainless/aluminum. Do the while thing and you're golden. You can clear over if if you want, but the brushing will give you a kind of matte finish that should match the trim on the trailer.

I should have a painting channel on TW. The Bob Ross of TW...

That's an idea, the fenders could be painted to look like there made of barn siding.
