I'm looking into buying a new truck soon, my options in Canada for DCLB is the Sport or Sr5. For the most part I don't care about the sport, the only thing that appeals to me is the navigation and the factory alarm. Unfortunately the dealership has been less than helpful. What is the factory alarm like? Would I be better off just saving the $1800 and putting in an aftermarket alarm? Also, are you able to upload any additional maps to the factory GPS? I'd like to you backroad map books and think it would be cool to be able to use the factory screen.

    Regards

I would get the SR5 and save my money. You can always use iPad for big maps.

    Alarm is worthless.

You don't want to be like wannabe hoes that like skewps

That's what I'm thinking. $1800 is a lot of money for a pointless hood scoop and color matched mirrors...

I bought a 2017 Sport for daily and I drive a 2016 SR5 for work. I like the added features of the Sport but almost pulled the trigger on the SR5 as my daily because my work truck is nice too.

Save the money, you can upgrade everything on the sr5 to be a sport. Not sure if there is a different option for the rear axel having a locker on the sport though. That would be the only reason I would buy a sport.otherwise the sr5, is a great truck

I believe only the TRD offroads have a rear locker. Are you thinking the TRD sport might be a different rear axle?

SR here and wouldn't install that scoop. And I love skewps. But the flat hood on this looks amazing, the scooped hood look terrible.

I don't mind the look of the scoop, but I don't love it enough to want to pay $1800 for it... whats the stereo look like on the SR5?

Get the sport, cause heated seats and a built in garage door opener. Paint matched fenders.

I am not sure I stopped looking once it got out of my price range. Lol, got the sr5, like I had before and go from there. I know toyota has like 8 different engine and transmission options available. After learning that fact I gave up as I am not a grease monkey and most of that is useless information taking up valuable real estate in my brain.

I am sure you can add heated seats to the sr5 but there is no rhyme or reason for the painted or chrome bumper. The lot I was at had or's and sports with chrome or painted and the same with the sr5 model.

Can you get the JBL in an SR5? I'd heard otherwise.
