    Had rough idle.

Cleaned the throttle body all air intake components.

5vxfe runs so nice and smooth.
    And it was easy.

What other things can I do to improve overall quality of the engine.

Scratch the maf, I see that would be included in intake components

To clean them proper you'll want to remove them. Could fog it with Seafoam but I've heard good and bad on here with that Shiz

Well, from what I've heard, it's best to send them in to a company that will professionally clean them. Other than that, run a good brand of injector cleaner thru your tank..

From what I gather, basically, injectors can cause only a few issues. And someone correct me if I'm wrong but.. Either they're completely bad and causing a misfire, or they're leaking causing stumbly startups, or they're good and you have other issues like clogged fuel filter or something, or a number of other things.

I'd just start with the injector cleaner and call it good if you don't have any other symptoms.

I too wouldn't mess with the injectors unless there is a noticeable issue. I like seafoam but i just run it in the fuel and not theough the intake via a vacuum line. I dont think it would be a negative thing to do, just have never done it, well fuck lol that way isnt cleaning the injectors anyway now that i think about it!!lol! @Xbeaus ya threw me off there, thought id tag you here so you wouldnt think that method of foaming is going through the injectors. Its only going through the intake valves that way, not the injectors! That method is for carbon deposits fur the most part.

If there were an issue i would send them off as already mentioned. A fuel treatment only does so much. I still regularly dump in a can fairly often though, prolly dosent do a whole lotta good if its only done once a year or whatever, so at the least ill do it every oil change but typically far more often than that.

You're probably right. Maybe a little gets in there since the spark needs air (02) to ignite. I watched a YouTube video where a guy takes a bicycle air valve and makes his own injector cleaner tool for injectors. It's quite ingenious. I second the thought to just leave them be if no running issues. Seafoam is a good fuel stabilizer. I only use it in my motorcycle when it's hybernating. Good fuel will not leave as much carbon deposits as some other brands but that's a whole other conversation there :)

new ngk plug wire kit if you haven't already replaced them, the factory wires are good quality but perish from age and heat and improper removal for plug changes (puling on the wire not the holders) so its a well done upgrade to avoid failure or to solve unknown random miss at issues

take off your intake manifold and clean out as much of the carbon build up as you can. it'll make replacing your plugs and pulling your injectors much easier as well.

It's amazing what one finds on YouTube. Truly. Amazing and shocking and some rather strange things. Haha.

That does look fairly easy and could save a guy some frog skins
