    People have had good luck on Craigslist, but I've been bait-and-switched multiple times. Or beaten by just a few minutes.

    There was a group buy earlier last yeardirect from the manufacturer but prior to then it had never been done and will likely not happen again.

    Not really the answer you're looking for but if you stay vigilant on your local Craigslist, you just might get lucky.

    I've tried to stay away from craigslist. My cousin got screwed over and had his wallet stolen when he went to go buy something for his jeep from a guy through craigslist.

    Yeah, reasonable precaution should be taken when meeting internet people. If you get instructions to meet in a shady area after dark behind the piggly-wiggly, you're probably going to get robbed.

    Long beds always sell cheaper. I sold a short bed for like $400 a while back. A buddy just found one in FL for $300. Just gotta be patient.
