Exactly this. I had one performed at the 1000 mile mark, despite getting crap for it from the service department. After the fact, the technician mentioned that he did in fact find metal shavings. Would they have done any kind of serious damage, maybe maybe not. But I feel safer at this point.

 

Not all Tacos are made in Mexico. Vins that start with 3 are from mexico, 5 are from Texas.

 

Vin starting with 4 are made in North Korea.

I ordered my 2016 Tacoma TRD OR....took 6 weeks, was surprised when I was told it was at the 'port' being processed for importation from Mexico! I thought it was being built at the Toyota plant in San Antonio Texas. Mine was built at the Toyota plant in Tijuana, Mexico. I checked with Immigration, truck is a legal immigrant, has a Green Card, after 5 years can apply for US citizenship. ; )
Regardless.....love it! Got my Lifetime NRA, Punisher with American flag on it.

I also have the blue truck. Blue and inferno were tied for first in my book. I was going to buy whichever I found first in an M/T Sport 4x4. I didn't see a single inferno in that trim within 200 miles of my location over the almost 1 year I looked. It was even hard to find a blue, but I did see a couple throughout my search. I love the blue! But the inferno is sweet as hell too.

 

Pretty awesome, congrats! Did you put that TRD decal on the mirror, or does that come stock? I've been looking for a decal that size and coming up empty handed.

 

Its definitely annoying how some colors are limited on some models. Love the inferno, but not offered on what I wanted. I went with the white which I am very happy with.

What roll top cover is that. How long is your bed and does it take up alot of room.

Quick question for everyone - I display an image on mine quite a bit but when I do I miss seeing the time of day. Does anyone have any ideas?
I looked through all the options on the dashboard display but there wasn't one for time.
