Cypher I used Wheeler's 5 leaf pack on my 1st gen. After settling I netted about 2-2 1/2" of lift. They ride really well on the street and flex well off-road. The only downside is they can only carry a couple of hundred pounds before they start to sag. It is actually helping me take less gear camping, simplifying my set up. I sold my dirt bikes so it's not too big a concern.

Andy, enjoy that backpacking trip. I hope there is the peace and quiet that we all hope to find when out in nature. I have done Sentinel and Telescope peaks also, tough trails. I day-hiked San Gorgonio in early November from Vivian creek. 19 miles round trip and 5800' of elevation gain. It took 12 hours, the last four by headlamp. One foot in front of the other.

Good morning, no new snow here or for next couple of days. Phone alert went off at 5 this morning dangerous windchills of twenties below zero today. And up to 40 tomorrow. Be safe those getting hammered with snow.

OMG two of my favorites and it has been years since I've had either one. I didn't need to see that! Yes I did think I can make both of those :) But will never be as good as yours :(

No you don't once every couple of years here. About 10 years ago driving back home going up the Western side of Pa. I was next to Lake Erie and not only had thunder snow got to see the lightening on the lake. Was quite the experience. Was going to stop in Buffalo to see one of my sisters and family but they got almost 3 feet of heavy wet snow. With leaves still on the trees it shut down the city and all roads. So ended up with a couple extra days hunting instead.

I had thunder snow up here too. 12" on the ground since 6am. Came in a little while ago from cleaning the driveway. The quad was struggling but did the job. Had to stop to recharge the battery as the winch raising & lowering the blade so much did it in. I'll be out there again in the late afternoon...

I remember one time here in Dallas we got a 1/4 inch of snow. It was tragic.

I just pulled a Camry out of a ditch and towed it 1/2 mile. Damn thing was low. Front air dam was 4" from the ground and it was plowing snow until it couldn't push any further. Didn't help that the tires were bald and they were almost out of fuel.

That is what I am leery of I have read the lift threads and OME thread etc but the debate rages on add in that I have air bags now for when I tow but it is still to friggin soft back there with out the camper on it just the regular bed.

Do you tow anything with yours in the 300 to 400 lb tongue weight range ?

Same question do you tow much with it ?

Thanks , wheelers weren't on the radar as I have read here and on expedition portal about the fast spring rate they have causes them to sag but they do not take a set so I guess they really are made for wheeling not so much for generally ride and towing . That is just my opinion though from reading. I am not taking much in the bed of the truck when I go camping 1 extra box maybe 100 lbs . I am however , taking my damn camper lol I refuse to sleep in a tent anymore. :} Call me what you want I call me comfortable :} LOL

Power was out sooo I laid down and suffered a power loss too lol :} I think the house came back on about an hour or so ago based on the time blinking on the stove. All we got here is high winds and sunny temps down to high 30s . You guys with the snow I feel for you be damn careful most of the weather guessers are saying it is the heavy wet / stick stuff ie heart attack, back out, shoulder pop snow .

Did this a few years ago with a damn BMW on a back country rode she screwed up traffic for an hour and even after we not just me pulled her out shoveled her a path to clear spot to park it and wait for her husband nope she was determined to drive down the road. Me and the other 4 guys said fuck it got in the trucks turned around and went a different way. The people on the other side ( one lane ish do to snow ) didn't move for her she got stuck they drove around her as she was far enough off to the side lol . Some people you just can't reach..
