Back in the day I used to live at Chazel apartments and my balcony overlooked that disc golf course in South Scottsdale. I always told people I had golf course views at my place and it was a short walk to the clubhouse (Dukes) for cocktails :D

Did someone say disc golf? I need to get back out there and play a round or two. Discs are gathering dust.

Some co-workers and I played last night (I suck at it) and not sure if we're playing tonight. It depends on how the day is going and what time we get finished. We're headed back to AL tomorrow, but I'll be back in a few weeks and might have time to play then, depending on our schedule. :notsure:

If you like the concept of a game of golf, but you like throwing things, then yes.

I mostly played ultimate growing up and can toss a Wham-O 165 or 175g pretty far, but these golf discs kick my ass.

Yeah they are lighter but sure have to be thrown different to carry the way that they do. When you're tossing 65-75g average on a disc, and they are much thinner, technique is different than ultimate.

I'm a sidearm thrower and my new driver ended up in the pond, near the first hole. :frusty:

Probably the best place for it...

I used to only sidearm my drives, but then took the time to learn a proper backhand and I'm just as good with it. But, in a pinch when I need to hyzer, I throw sidearm and it turns the other way. Really handy to know both.

Pond on the first hole.. sounds like the Shelley Sharpe course off of Hayden/Roosevelt.

I like to play Disc Golf. Play it when I go camping. Well, at least I use to. Haven't done it in a few years. Next major camping trip we should all bring frizbees and play.

Just finished reading about it. It's literally golf, but with a frisbee. You throw instead of hitting.

EDIT: Kinda tempted to start playing it now.
