    I would definitely get a grill that is already shaped as it is a pain to do the shaping yourself, I found out the hard way.

    I have been reading $200-$400 for ridiculous gen 1 grilles!!!

    So I could cut my stock one, and insert this?

    They say for the OEM TOYOTA lettering its $79 + $69 for grille. Ordering NOW

    Get the TRD badge at the dealer and while there, grab 7 grill clips for the re-install should you break them. Cheap insurance.
    Take the TRD badge, peel off the adhesive, add super glue to the adhesive side and set. Grab 2 small zipties to keep it held firm for an hour or so. Snip them off and good to go.

    The badge is plastic chrome and the red & white parts do fall out after a couple years. I've replaced mine 3 times.

    I cut out my grill with a sawzall a little at a time as to not take off too much and inserted the new stainless grill. I used JB weld to put my badge back on it.
