I really don't, and need to get on this. Good advice on coming out early to avoid the moondust and pothole mayhem. Trails out here get pretty thrashed as well, especially after the last few dry summers.

haha I'm nowhere near pro enough to huck myself off the crazy stuff but I sure enjoy some fluid enduro runs. The shore features I've seen in vids up there are out of control. We have some intimidating ladders at my local park that don't even come close to yours and I still don't have the balls to ride them. Haha maybe someday

I still think you made the right call on the ambers but am also curious how big of a difference you'd see between the spot vs flood. The big advantage really comes from being seen by other drivers in cruddy fog/snow/dust conditions. White lights would just make matters worse.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun, and sure taught me a bit more about the state I now live in. Never knew this place had an arid side to it, at times I forgot where I was.

They're also a tad overkill for my needs as I do DD this thing... just not a lot of miles so I justified it. Probably only touched the surface of their potential but I'd rather have more tire than I need than the opposite.

Bro, you and I are hitting the trail this year. Don't care where we go but we're doin something.

Well said about the MTR's. Is that your first set of them? Just trying to get a feel for the tread life since you DD your truck.

Thanks, like always the photos don't do it justice. It would be a ton of fun on a DS, we came across quite a few guys doing the same.

Yep, this is my first set. I do a 5 tire rotation and keep my eye on them, so far so good but I only clock 24 miles a day. Time will tell

24miles a day is not bad at all. Living in Hawaii, its only 32miles to work. All together I think I put about less than 80miles a day depending on what I do that day.

@TacoSTIG : great recap of what looks to have been a great road trip. I have two close friends and have, for the past few years or so, taken various annual trips together. Good solid friendships between good solid men is a blessing. Even more so when our wives encourage those friendship, knowing iron sharpens iron.

Looking forward to more trip recaping and rig building!

Love the trip report! I live in Tacoma, so that's practically in my backyard. I'll have to add it to my list of places to head! Love my PNW!

Truck looks sweet as usual Stiggy!
I'm so attracted to it... I'm really in a bind over full hoop or mid hoop on my pelfrey. Sometimes I feel like the full hoop looks meh compared to my current aggressive angle... but then yours just looks perfect. So IDK

In the same boat on deciding what to go with as well. I was thinking single but the full hoop has its uses.

I love the full hoop for seeing. It helps immensely with guiding the front corner of my truck. But I wish the pelrey was a little more aggressive. I love the look of the single

Makes sense for usability but I agree that single hoop looks clean as hell.

@dakotasyota he has the "Mr. Grimm" style of hoop that they don't do anymore. Hoops are lower I believe
