What kind of house repairs you looking at? I work maintenance, and there's not much I can't do, or at least give you solid advice on how to do it yourself.

Welcome! I've added you to "the list."

What part of Nebraska? My dad was stationed at Offutt for 7 years. Wasn't sure if I was going to die from tornados or mosquitoes.

Would anyone be up to go out of state? Some of the best wheeling I've done was in Las Cruces, NM. Basically you pick a mountain, drive to the top, see a taller mountain, drive up that. Its pretty much endless, would need to be a decent amount of time.

@Toyboata and I have been throwing around the idea for quite some time to go, maybe do a TW caravan. Get away from the paid parks

My wife has me on some "lists" too... I'm from out west near Lake McConaughy. ~65 miles from Cabela's World Head Quarters and 52 miles from Walmart. About 330 miles west of Offutt, but I've been there for some air shows. Family in Lincoln too.

I love Las Cruces. The old Holiday Inn there is actually a great hotel, and their restaurant makes a fantastic huevos rancheros.

    Have fun!

Will remember that. Gonna do the whole front end first, and then the rear. Gotta source some springs still. I'll go by LQK or wrench a part in the next couple weeks.

The family and I will be headed to Lincoln National Forest (Guadalupe Ranger District, South section of the national forest) & Carlsbad cavern next Friday.
Should arrive around midnight, get a little rest. 1/2 day touring the cavern. Rest of the weekend we will spend driving the park roads, return sometime Monday.

This in is preparation for our summer trip where we intend to start in the same area and make our way as far into Colorado as we can in a week or so and avoiding paved roads as much as possible.

Anyone who wants to go is more than welcome to join us.
We will be leaving Hutto about 5pm Friday evening.
Lincoln NP has free camping along most of the park roads.
I have spoken to a ranger who is supposed to leave a Motor Vehicle Use Map outside the ranger station for me and he is going to mark a few good spots that will be easy to get to in the middle of the night and provide protection from weather.

The only thing that is set in stone is free camping somewhere and the 1/2 day at the cavern sometime during the weekend either Saturday morning but thinking more like Monday morning before heading home.
Open to other's ideas of places to go as we have never been in the area.
