It rides a little stiffer but I don't mind it. There was no problem getting the alignment done either.

3in is about the limit for the stock UCAs but some can go more, some less. I don't see why there is a variation but it happens.

You should be fine at 2.5. Yes the UCAs will wear out faster but it will still take a while. I personally haven't done a lift but this is what I've heard from everyone who has

Well I lifted mine about two inches when I first got the truck in 06. I had it aligned 3 times by 3 different tech's and none of them could get the alignment dialed in.

^ Thanks. Yours might have been where I got the idea for the wheels. They look great on white. Is that Vinyl on your hood or paint? I'm looking for some vinyl for the bottom of my bumper.

It's not the toe or camber that's not adjustable, it's the caster. Toe/camber not being right will make it pull and wear the tires. Caster not being adjusted only makes it twitchy on uneven surfaces or grooves in pavement which feels like pulling but doesn't wear the tires, just annoying. If you go 2.5 then UCAs will be needed to get the caster adjustment correct. Here's mine @ 2.5 in front with 1.5 AAL on shitty 3 leaf pack out back. Ride is great on road & a bit less than long travel plush offroad.

approx how long would be "a while" for the stock ucas to wear out? 50k 100k 150k?

Also I went to the off road shop and talked to the guy today and he said I'm not going to have any alIgnment/vibration issues at 2.5 so go figure. I still havent installed the bilsteins because I'm waiting for my parts to come in to get the tsb leaf spring finIshed at the dealer. I'm getting new shocks through the tsb(hopefully the trd bilsteins so I can sell them eventually) but they wouldn't install my adjustables and gave me a whole lecture on how those will void the warrenty. Lol another wtf

^^^ That guy at the offroad shop don't know jack! ...I do! Trust me when i tell you that if you go 2.5 inches. your alignment will be less than ideal and your truck will not drive as good as it does now. I've been there and done that and i'm tryin to save you from having the same problems that i had. caster will not wear your tires or make your truck pull. what it will do is follow ruts or any slight lean to the road. You'll have bump steer where your truck will veer in one direction or another when u hit a bump in the road. basially at highway speeds it will feel very unstable and could cause you to lose control of your truck. Just ask chris4x4 if he recommends getting new uca's with that much lift if you don't believe me.

TacoSupreem is right, I am lifted at 3" with stock uca's and its a little sketchy. Uneven roads with ruts, dips, etc... definitely try to pull the truck all over the road; especially when braking.
I'm getting some uca's soon to fix this.

How do you like the Ebiach 1.6 w/5100 set up? That's the set up I just bought, will be installing this weekend.

Have any pics without 300lbs in the bed?

I researched this a while and came to the conclusion that raising the truck with shocks set to 1.75-2.5" would = shorter shock travel and stiffer ride.

Any downside? You pleased with the ride?

Also if I'm running at 1.75 and my stock 16" rim. What's the largest tire I can have without rubbing/trimming?
