Your castor may be pushed too far back.
the pics you show are what you would see with a 33" tire.
For a reference, here is a 34" tire in the same position.

So not bullshiting when it comes to the skid plate. I think it turned out amazing, its pretty much a hybrid between full prerunner design and the more traditional heavy duty skid plates.

After talking about all the options and first hand experience with other designs we decided to go with a lightly more gradual approach angle, while it does not have as much initial clearance it will better protect/defect against anything that I would encounter. Especially during high desert or expedition style travel, while still being beefy enough and having enough clearance for any rocky trail.

They did any awesome job and I gave them the ok to finish it up! I feel it does an amazing job tying everything together. There is nothing on the market that could better fit the truck.

One of my biggest fears when far away from civilization has always been damaging the radiator, it hangs low and up front on these trucks making an easy target. Stock skid did an ok job but this is going to be light-years ahead.

Next week will hopefully the front end going back together and rear coil buckets going in.

Ah okay, this is slightly taller than the common 265/70R16 that many run. I would have thought that your tire size would clear, that it'd be the max size to run with guaranteed clearance. I guess not. Front coils might be starting to sag. So a refresh of the suspension, or a little lift, would definitely allow that size tire to clear.

Bad ass. And you'll get a very slight increase in mpg with decreased resistance, not that we care about MPG's with our tacos.

Hopefully the aerodynamics of the thing will help offset the weight of it. I can dream can't I?

very common size for this site. I started with those myself. Most just have to cut and hammer the pinch weld to get full clearance. Rarely anything needs to be done with the flare.
With the Ray10's, you should have even better clearance.
I would have your alignment checked before cutting anything.
    Here are my original 265/75R16's

You can smash the pinch weld over with a hammer...but minus that I had 31's with no issue as well.... You can always do bilies and a add a leaf or block in the back...probably the cheapest route.... those are 16's though....

My bad, I thought the smaller were more common. Either way, thanks for the correction.

Yeah for sure, I was just trying to answer about if his tire would clear without modding anything at all.

I'm just trying to show him the difference in clearance. I bet his alignment is set at 0° castor, or maybe even negative, to have the wheels pushed that far back.
