    Haha...not doing it...can't make me!
Holy f@%&ing fitment challenge!!! I threw the directions out half way through. The 2 hour installation turned into 4 just getting everything to fit nice and snug. The template worked well, it was the studs that needed adjustment. I also threw the screws out for the pillar and used rivots. I used a hack saw and made multiple cuts to allow the elbows to clamp down correctly between the stock piping and snorkel riser. The band clamp going to the stock intake is also in the engine bay with the elbow protruding through (contrary to instructions, it seems that it is suppose to be this way for proper fitment). I have read plenty of postes about the top bolt and stud...WTF! I used factory paint to seal first, and then sprayed the entire inside fender with cold galvizing spray. I almost never use red loctite, this time was an exception. The remaining gap on the outside fender which is very little, will get filled tommorow with a black butyl resin. I'm not gonna lie, this install whooped my ass!!

Glad I get to wait a bit longer to deal with all these small problems but I really want to get my snorkel installed. We're in another cold snap (-30*C) right now so I'm not touching anything for a while.

Well my snorkel finally showed up this afternoon (conveniently on Taco Tuesday :taco:) after days of watching for the mail truck! Going to do some cutting and drilling tonight.

Thanks @tcBob for all you did to save this group buy! :canada:

I got my snorkel shortly after a majority of this group did. While the install was a little frustrating, it went fairly smooth. I didn't have the issues many of you did with the top nut. I took off a majority of the bolts holding the fender on and was able to reach up and get the nut on the bolt pretty easily. Having the arms of a 9-year old boy helps too...

Thank you for all of your communications throughout this group buy @tcBob!

I waited patiently all day long for someone to make a delivery to my home. UPS track link says delivered. Hmmmm, nothing near my front door, nothing in the yard where my dogs would have grabbed a package laid on the ground. If it was there it belonged to them as new toys. I walked back to the front and saw an orange baggie sitting on my picnic table at the side of the house. Idiot delivery drivers don't pay attention to anything. There is a big sign on the door that says 'DOOR BLOCKED NO ENTRY NOT FRONT DOOR'.

SOFT PACKAGING FOR ANYTHING NOT SOFT IS A VERY STUPID IDEA. The silicone hose connector I got from HPS came in a cardboard box, not a soft baggie.

I should not harangue those in the land of Oz for packaging mistakes. I once picked up a load of soda's from the Coca Cola plant in Dallas. Those idiots loaded a 53 foot semi trailer with pallets of coke's. Each pallet had been shrink wrapped in the middle to keep the stack from falling over. You should have seen the mess inside of that trailer when I bumped the dock at the Coke facility in Little Rock. Not one of the stacks was still on it's pallet, and now exploded cans were all over the place. Lots of construction going on around Dallas, hot summer day, now add in the rough roads elsewhere. No sudden stops.

I'll open the pkg tomorrow. Thanx TcBob and MahaloTaco

PS. For those who have a Sony W830 Camera - Sony has just released new software yesterday this camera uses:
    https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-download.pl?mdl=DSCW830&upd_id=9037&os_group_id=29

Be careful with this software as it will automatically scan your computer and send copies to the cloud. Unplug your ethernet plug before starting.

Well shit! That install was a pain in the ass, but it's done and I'm fired up to see how it drives now and to go wheeling. I think I'm going out this Saturday to give 'er a test run.

I think you may need to worry less about the cloud and more about cleaning man.

I get back in town Friday night...... I'm really dreading this. Looks like I may be the first to keep the AFE airbox too.

I see everyone using a cordless drill. Other than the obvious reason of it being lighter and easier to handle, any reason my regular drill won't work?

I sealed mine up too with a bead of black silicone. I didn't like the idea of sand and dirt getting trapped between the snorkle and the fender. That's just asking for it to rust out

I used my cordless because it has a low gear but my corded drill has a variable speed trigger which can be difficult to control when you want to drill at a constant slow speed.
