I have a couple. I sometimes carry my Malkoff MD2, or my BLF A6, or my Zebralight H60 or H52, I have a few others, but those are the ones that end up in the truck the most.

I just keep a Petzl Taktika headlamp in the glove box. It got me off a mountain when I got my JK stuck one afternoon. I trust it'll work for the Taco and me, as well.

Fenix PD35. Love it, works great. Has 5 settings plus a strobe feature.

How in the hell? I consider what I do to them brutal, dropping them constantly from 13 feet high, run over it on accident a few times after leaving it under a rig on the side of a pit, drumming on stuff constantly, right now it's just scarred up. I've even retired a few to others, I'd say they're 3 years old, first led version, and now I've got the high lumen led stinger. I can't kill em.

I'm rough on my stuff...luckily both were issued gear during a previous life as a cop so I just turned them back in and got a new one no biggie

Honestly I don't remember the circumstances on either but I know when I left my job I turned in my 3rd issued flashlight and it's the only one that didn't quit on me...still the best flashlight I've ever had

I have a super old flashlight. It still shines just fine with fresh batteries. Looking to upgrade to have something else on hand.

Huh. I had once left an old one on top of a zf as tronic trans and found it in an intersection on the way back. I personally cannot make them dead. I hate the rubber nonsense on them and looking at it, it's nothing impressive. But they fit in the back pocket ok and are rechargeable and unbreakable. To me. Though I think I just have to try harder...

I think my favorite part about this thread is that it's about flashlights but is labeled specifically for 3rd gen.
