Yea I came across the same information, I was hoping to find a used hardshell. But the change in size lead me to the softtopper so I guess I still got a good one.

The same shit everyone else has.
All the time. I have an air mattress that fits between the wheel wells perfectly. Being under 6ft tall helps too. I keep all my gear in waterproof totes when I camp so I just puke everything outta the truck and inflate the mattress and call it a day.

On that, I plan on buying a smaller single air mattress so most of the gear can stay in the truck.

Anyone want to sell 2 clamps for a soft topper? I just pick one up and didn't have the clamps.

I'm on the fence regarding a soft topper purchase. Can anyone tell me about their opinions on durability. I live in PA where all 4 seasons can be extreme at times. Also, are these toppers safe to run through automatic car washes? Thanks for the help!

They are just like a Jeep soft top and good for all four seasons. Just take good care of it and it should last for a very long time. No on the automatic car washes per the owners manual. But it takes all of two minutes to take off and another three to put back on so no big deal.

Just watch the rear window. When its very cold it can get brittle and needs to be handled gently. And since its soft it will scratch easily. Like all rear topper windows it will collect dust and road grime. I carry a dollar store feather duster to remove dust but winter road grime needs to be removed with water or water and a squeegee. Frost just has to melt on its own. I think alcohol based deicers may dry out the vinyl.

Their website says not to take it through the car wash, so I go to self serve style washes:thumbsup:

I'm also in New England and it has been holding up to the winter just fine, tho if we get a major storm like yesterday, I clear off the topper half way through so it doesn't get too heavy. But thats just me baby-ing it :D

If its too tight, you can move the frame down a notch to loosen it up a little bit.

I know it's been spoken about somewhere in here, but what are the best methods/products for removing scratches from the Bestop windows? My friend drew on the dirty window. :annoyed:
