Took my new 2010 into Discount Tire and for $88.00 had the lifetime balance and tire rotation and tire replacement if I have a blowout and they cannot repair the tire. I have always had a good experience at Discount tire. For what it worth.

When I got new tire about two months ago the guys at American Tires were dics so I took my $1000 else where. I think i paid $50 for the same thing at Discount Tire Center, Discount Tire is the same as American Tire. I think the ballance and rotate was free, the $50 is for the road haz warrenty. If they can't fix it then you get a new tire free.

I got my Hancook tirese there. They knocked $10 off each tire. Got the lifetime balance and road hazard too. They did fast work and I did not have to wait around very long at all. Get there when they open and you will get in and out real quick!

Discount Tire and Americas Tire (discounttire.com) are the same company. The Discount Tire name was already taken when Discount Tire started doing business in California so they named themselves Americas Tire in California. They also own Discounttiredirect.com (corrected, sorry) which operates as a separate company. The stores act like they don't like the online store. WTF?

For over a decade they had 100% of my families business, then they started being dicks. They started overcharging ridiculous amounts to mount tires and wheels and acting like a..holes at the counter. So, I no longer recommend them.

I have used Discount Tire several times to price match tires from The Tire Rack. Found the tires I wanted online. Usually called Discount with the info or printed the page and went directly to Discount.
If they don't have em, they will order direct from The Tire Rack. You pay the shipping and they install and warrant the tires, rotations, etc.
Great place, and at least in my area they treat you well.
Went to places like Les Schwab, Big O, and never been able to get decent prices for the same tires.

I have been going to Discount Tire's for over 10 years now. I experienced some shops in California when I used to live out there, Colorado, and now in Salt Lake City. Never had any issues at all with them.:) I also always get the hazard insurance and have had damaged tires replaced with new ones that they could not repair, no questions asked. I believe they also price match or beat other competitors prices.

I bought used tires from from Shaun (AZ11), Discount Tires offered me the same deal and I took it.

I hate the Discount Tire on Milton, those guys kept telling me I can not run "big tires" on my 5 lug. I just walked out because they don't know what they are talking about.

There are a few things that dissapointed me about them.

    1. I brought rims to the store to have mounted on tires I bought there. They wanted $192 for 4 rims, that's BS. I expected to pay $60. Then he came down to $128. Still too much.

    2. Their price match is a miss anymore. Last tire purchase I brought the ad to 2 different Discount Tire stores. One store would not even consider the price match. He said "their cost" on KM2s was $211 each. And the other store was still $100 more than buying online going to the shop down the block to get them mounted. And they did not really care that I would go somewhere else.

I don't understand why they changed their business philosophy maybe they have enough business without mine?

I like discount tire. They rotate my tires for free and I didn't even buy them there! (I still have factory rugged trails.)

It's been said already, show up early and be first in line and you will not wait long. First come first serve.

Are you talking about a Discount Tire in San Diego? I don't believe that it is the same company as Discount Tire/America's Tire though.

    Just wondering?

I always have good service at DIscount, it's just they don't shit about tires. It's as though they hire them, throw them behind the counter and tell them to just sell.

As with anywhere you shop, it depends on the owner and caliber of people they hire. There are duds and superstars everywhere.:)

most of the Americas Tire stores I have been to have had great customer service, and I have found that if you need something simple like rotations its best to either go when they first open or right before they close. The road hazard warranty is great too, they replaced on of my Nitto TG's after running over a humongous metal rod, since the tire was unable to be patched. I would have gone back but I found a way cheaper price for the tires I wanted on another website

FYI ... I think they have a policy though of not being able to work on your truck if you have spacers installed, just a heads up !
