There needs to be a coffee one. I found the Austin group a couple weeks ago by accident. How often do you guys meet up?
It's been useful. The clear coat on the top is starting to peel pretty badly, so I'm going to do a refurb on the paint job in the near future.

It's always nice to help people out in their time of need, but I would be afraid of ripping off their front bumper cover and having to pay for any damage.

Yup. I checked with them on my liability for any damage. We all agreed I had zero.

Plus all pics show that they voluntarily allowed me to help them and that I did not force my help upon them. Easy to dispute any liability on my part with any possible claim on their part.

Plus, the Camry had a solid recovery point that was nowhere near the possibility of ripping off the bumper.

Plus, I live in a small community of generally good, decent people.

I always try to have the owner hook up their side so that any damage caused by hooking up something wrong is their fault and not mine. I realize most women and the elderly can't or don't know where or how to hook up something to their own vehicle so I make sure that they understand that I will not be liable for any damage that may happen.

    Agreed.

I would make the other person hook everything up and get them on camera assuming full responsibility for everything.

I'll make sure I get my lawyer to draft a liability waiver that I can keep in my glove compartment and have people fill out and sign in blood before I attempt to help them. :boink:

In the mean time, I will rely on my long time experience of being able to judge good people and decent character and continue to have faith in the fact that helping people is simply just that...

    Helping people.

Good luck with that. Most of the time it won't be an issue, but the one time that it is an issue will clean out your bank account. People are too litigious nowadays.

I can see that it's some sort of vehicicle but that's either the oddest Tacoma light I've ever seen or the storm mutated your truck into a different make/model altogether.
